- ''''Western TV didn''''t show what happened in Tskhinvali,'''' Gorbachev said. ''''Only now they''''re beginning to show some pictures of the destruction. So this looks to me like it was a well prepared project. And with any outcome, they wanted to put the blame on Russia.''''

- "The United States stands with the democratically elected government of Georgia," Bush said during an appearance at the White House. "We insist that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia be respected."
Yet Bush''s statement, along with the moderate measures that came with it, served to underscore the limited options available to the United States, which has neither the wherewithal nor the willingness to enter into a military conflict with Russia on its territorial border. - Reply to this comment

- wothah,
i''ve been following ukraine comments for a while, and i believe those people in churches, praying for russians and osetians. I know big money helped uschenko to be elected, and whatever article or video you see, know that it is pre-paid. for last few days media have shown how they can play with people''s minds. no trust there. - Reply to this comment
