- Americans are some of the stupidest people on the planet. It will be good for the civilized world when the US finally takes its rightful role in the history books.

Considering you are ignorant of what the word "stupid" and other sewage words you like to throw around, I suggest you look in a mirror and realize you are writing about yourself. - Reply to this comment

- "You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out. I know I had no hand in making this war, and I know I will make more sacrifices to-day than any of you to secure peace."

- This war, like the Iraq war is about OIL. OIL is our biggest national security threat, and it threatens us economically, environmentally, and militarily. To say the real reason for this war (or the Iraq war) is sovereignty is a diversion from the real issue and makes it impossible to formulate an effective course of action.

- The US destroyed their credibility by invading Iraq. So unnecessay too as the world was ''''shoulder to shoulder'''' with the US after 9-11. Since then the US has gone from lacking credibility to a laughing stock. Putins response to Bush demands to reverse course was ''''let me think for moment ... how you say .... fark you !'''' ... accompanied of course by the finger ... and quite right too.

- The truth, nature and timing of these events lies with NATO, the newly politicized wing of US foreign policy. How easy it was for them to stoke up trouble in this region and then round on Russias aggression, not least to further the US case that Russia must not become part of the EU. Think about that for a moment, an oil rich Russia at the centre of the EU with an oil poor US that is no longer the worlds lone superpower. Conspiracy theories aside, Russia has more credibility to respond militarily to Georgias bombing of South Ossetia, than the US ever had to kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who never attacked anyone.

- So we have known the saying for 450 years but still, somehow, magically expect the leadership of this country to cut open our heads and pour good behavior and common sense in. It will never happen.

- My mom once said "if you kick a dog too many times it''s just a matter of time before he turns around and bites you", that''s pretty much what happened here. Russia provoked this war, they shot down the UAV in April which they denied, They kidnapped 4 other people charged them with crimes they did not commit, and in ossetia they keep attacking the people. Russia brought their tanks down to the border before it even happened. I believe what has happened prior to this "war" or attack was a case of colonizing Russia has sent people over to Georgia to cause an uproar, a rebellion. i have some videos on my page here the link
