Maybe they could "spare" a couple hundred thousand for each American family who''s father, husband, brother, mother, sister, or child has been killed in this ill-planned and foolishly fought waste of humanity!

Iraqis are not so stupid as to use their money when the US continues to bury them in pallets of $100 dollar bills. "Your Tax Dollars At Work" You dummies that voted for Bush must love it.

"While Iraq stockpiles money, U.S. taxpayers continue to bear the burden of rebuilding. So far, they''ve devoted about $48 billion dollars to the cause."

Any of you right-wing nutjobs care to defend? Yeah? Didn''t think so. Yep, our taxpayer dollars sure are keeping us safe - if safe means letting the Iraq government get rich.

cbsfan73...What does your post have to do with IRAQ''s oil surplus? Man, you reeled me in.

Let''s just stick to what the subject is. You''re a moron for posting your stupidity and I''m a moron for getting so riled that I''d respond to your post and not the article.

"Since 2005, the United States has funded a number of efforts to teach civilian and security ministries how to effectively execute their budgets.

The efforts included programs to advise and help Iraqi government employees develop the skills to plan programs and to effectively deliver government services such as electricity, water and security."

You''re kidding me right? Like our government has even the slightest clue how to effectively manage programs/budgets.

No wonder or nations infrastructure is so ill, we build everyone elses infrastructure with out taxes. We need to build our own infrastructure and stop worrying about the rest of the world.

It''s like when Reagan needed a source of money to fund his illegal war of oppression and mass murder against Central Americans, he got a slush fund by selling high tech weapons to Muslim radicals in Iran.

The Bushites need a slush fund to complete the fascist takeover of America and line their pockets.

Really, where do you think that $79,000,000,000 is going to end up? Helping Iraqis? Get real.

That money is headed straight for the pockets of Bush''s and Cheney''s cronies.

That money is not for us peasants. That money will go to the kings and queens of America. Us peasants have to pay our taxes to support our kings and queens. They don''t give us money.

If Bush had this big scheme to save the world from Saddam Hussein''s WMDs and save Iraq from itself, which ultimately was as many say a war for oil, then, why the heck didn''t or don''t we just Annex Iraq???

Despite many American critics wondering why the U.S. is still spending so much on Iraq''s reconstruction, U.S. officials who work with the Iraqis on reconstruction defended Baghdad''s financial contributions.
---------------------------------------------
Levin, who requested the report said one particularly egregious example of U.S. spending is $33 million for a planned hotel and retail complex at the Baghdad airport, reports Reid.

"Their excuse is they don''t have a bureaucracy that''s capable of writing checks," Levin told CBS News. "That''s about as feeble an excuse, it would be laughable if it weren''t so serious."

---------

It comes down to this. US officials lack the guts to tell the Iraqs to pay for their own projects. Obama will have a lot of cleaning up to do.

Excuse me but it is very recent that the Republican''s didn''t control both the house and senate. They approved all this in Iraq not Democrats.
I don''t get these post perhaps few read newspapers or keep up with the news. The idea this was caused by Democrats is beyond belief.

"79b''s"?,,,And since when did we start
believing ANYTHING that, out of thin air,
is VOLUNTEERED to us as news by this group??

"Truth"?,,,They''re not physically or
psychologically compatable with the word.

Pains them to physically pronounce it,,
,,,looks like they''re eating raw spinach
even when they''re merely answering the
correct time of day to someone.

So I''ll believe the 79 billion when
Obama is prez. and gets to the bottom of
a whole bunch of stuff over there.

"We''re being taken for fools by the Iraqi government that continues to take in American money to pay for their reconstruction," Sen. Carl Levin, D-Michigan, told CBS News."

Sen. Levin, D.(fake) should ****, since he cannot remember that he supported the lunacy that got us into this in the first place.

Levin supported the continued occupation and destruction of the country, and now wants to play the self righteous "we shouldn''t be responsible for it, just because Bush lied and wrecked it" role.

He didn''t, and still doesn''t have the stones to call Bush on his lies, but on this matter he wants to pretend to have a pair.
