The RCMP reports that it has recovered the upper half of the body of a man from the woods in central Saskatchewan. Embedded in a nearby hillside, they found the mangled wreckage of a vintage Pontiac GTO automobile. RCMP officials have not released the identity of the man, but they confirm that the GTO was registered in his name.

On the other side of the hill they found a twisted shard of the rear bumper of the GTO, with the spent cansiter of a military RATO unit bolted to it. The RATO unit is a rocket motor of the type use to shorten the takeoff of heavily loaded C-130 aircraft.

Near the body, the RCMP found wires and a battery of a type that could be used to ignite the RATO unit. No intact part of the man''s body was found from his waist down, but the area was littered with what appeared to be barbequed flesh and bits of bone.

The man''s upper body was found unclothed, but authorities suspect his clothing was blown off by the rocket blast. "It''s not unusual for that to happen in an accident like this," an RCMP spokesman said. The spokesman asked not to be identified, and he did not respond when asked how many accidents of this kind he has seen.

any more of the news stories about Canada? Is this legitimate stuff in mainstream media or just tabloid?

Who knows? But if you like those stories, I heard of a town called Potsdam, NY. It''s right on the border with Canada.

For a while, the town had a rash of bizzare kinky s e x deaths. Like the nude man who was accidentally crushed by his garage door while having s e x with it. And the nude woman found dead in her car in her garage - well, you''ll have to use your imagination.

Then there was the death of actor Bob Crane.

But very few USA new items involve outdoor nudity or people attempting to repair operating appliances while watching pornography.

Well, except the famous Kennedy cousin who was apparently trying to set some kind of distance record while perched in a tree. And that was his ALIBI...

He MUST have spent some time in Canada.

txgrouch2006...I don''t need meds, but I am inclined to think that you and toldyouso12 probably do. Your screen name makes me think you need them more than I.

"Caton said the bus stopped and the passengers scrambled to disembark while the suspect allegedly began methodically carving up the man''s body."

I ask you, why would they have to use the word "allegedly" when there were countless witnesses to the crime?

This always baffles me when I see this used in the most obvious of cases.

Politically Correctness has corrupted just about everyone and everything.
