tbweb, I wouldn''t get too alarmist about public transportation. I use it regularly for commuting, and this incident was a one in a 500 million odds incident. You''re more likely to get into a fatal accident in your car, than suffer a fatality on public transportation.

I made a comment about it might have been a terrorist sent to deliver a message to a group as the individual remained calm and did not seem worried about being taken into custody. With his calm attitude and the way he carried out the attack made it look professional. In some cases the want publicity about what hey have done.

I have to disagree.
I arrested a girl high on crach. She fought like super girl and broke my wrist. Her motive was to not be separated from her crack source. I have no dount she would ahve killed us if she had been able to.
