- I''m sorry. Soooooo sorry. Mistakes were made. I feel your pain. God has forgiven us. Why not the world?
Screw the Pope. His holy freakin'' Eminence. Screw the Catholic Church. - Reply to this comment
Most criminals are usually sorry,
sorry they got caught.
This was a learning experience.
They will learn from this,
learn how to be more careful
so they won''t get caught.
All gangs go through this phase.- Reply to this comment

- Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday said he was "deeply sorry'' for the sexual abuse of children by Roman Catholic clergy in Australia, describing the offenses as evil and a grave betrayal of trust.

Notice that he apologizes only for the acts of the pedophiles, not the heirarhy of the church who conspired to allow them to continue to commit their crimes...... - Reply to this comment
- That''s a pretty good Nazi salute the Pope has there--just got to get that palm downwards a little more, Pope!

- "I think you would agree that the ecumenical movement has reached a critical juncture," he told the Christian representatives. "We must guard against any temptation to view doctrine as divisive."
If only he would agree that he is NOT God, nor God''s representative. I would say that doctrine is a wee bit divisive. - Reply to this comment
- And by the way, the pope knows that his church is full of g a y s. It does not seem to faze him, does it?

- The Catholic system is a natural breeding ground for this kind of stuff. Maybe it is a result of their idolatry (worshiping idols). More brainstorming here:
1. Many *** (who do not want to be gay) entered the priesthood to escape from sexual temptation (they think). Then it turns out there are a bunch of *** in close quarters. Perfect place to abuse each other and learn to abuse kids. The authorities looked the other way because, of course, they are gay too.
2. The evil culture of secrecy. In any other organization there is accountability - people getting fired for misbehavior. In many churches (not Catholic obviously) no one meets one-on-one behind closed doors. If it is a private meeting, the two just talk softly, but the door is open.
3. The really evil practice of threats. It comes with the territory of child abuse. Kids believe the threats so they stay quiet for years. There should be no statute of limitations on *** abuse reporting.
4. The kids blame themselves for trusting or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That keeps them quiet, too.
5. Almost no Catholics actually read the Bible. They just listen to what the priest says, which is not a whole lot of Bible either. The culture accepts anything the priests say. There is no moral education, not that the ''teachers'' know how to be moral. - Reply to this comment
- He''s not addressing the issue of healing for the victims or the root cause of this behavior: getting young kids emotionally attached and ingratiated with his authorities. They kind of look like a suicide/virgin sacrifice cult.

- "Those responsible?" Well, Herr Pontiff, there was a bunch of ''em hangin'' out in Bindoon.
Called themselves "Christian Brothers." They was swingin'' straps and threatenin'' to tan the hide of any loafing lad who refused to haul stones and lift timbers. - Reply to this comment
