What a toll. Nobama hasn''t got a clue. Had we listened to him, we would not have the major successes in Iraq that we have today.
Bin laden, zawahiri, al-quaeda have all declared Iraq a major front in the war (on terror). Petraeus makes it very clear that this is a major battle in the greater war.

Gaza ALWAYS belonged to the Palestinians, and Israel should NEVER have taken it away in the first place! And you act like they''re humanitarians because they gave it back?

Fatah and Hamas NEVER declared war on Israel, and in fact they are competing political parties like the DNC and the GOP are - except Fatah prefers peaceful diplomacy and negotiations. They wouldn''t team up to "declare war".

BOTH sides want ALL of the land for themselves. They''re both greedy, intolerant, bigoted, and use their respective religions as the justification to kill those on the "other side".

I say to hell with all of them - pull back our support, funding, arms, ammo, foreign aid, etc, and let them have at it. Eventually one side will win, and then there will be peace.

Totally ignoring the fact that surrounding Arab countries attacked Israel the moment it declared independence in 1948. If fact, the Arabs were attacking jews even BEFORE Israel declared it independence. For example, consider the Hebron massacre in the late 1920''s and the Mufti''s discussions with Hitler on how to exterminate jews in the 1940''s. But facts don''t matter.

Israel could have done this exchange without having gone to war with Hezbollah two years ago.
The fact that they went to war and achieved nothing but a stalemate with a guerilla group is a defeat for Israel and their way of thinking.
Israel needs to stop throwing temper tantrums like a spoiled brat and get real about how to achieve peace with its Arab neighboors.

Excuse me?! Are you forgetting that two soldiers were kidnapped and killed by gorillas? At the time, the Israelis were not interested in an exchange of coffins, they wanted thier soldiers back alive. And, in any event, why would they opt to a prisoner exchange as a first chioce. For two dead bodies, they gave back scores of hezbollah bodies and released convicted killers. And you feel this should have been thier first action?!
