Comments on: U.S. Secretly Takes Yellowcake From Iraq
A Huge Stockpile Of Natural Uranium Arrives In Canada After Secret U.S. Operation
- There are today abundantly more signs of political progress by the Iraqi government - which was the predicted benefit of increased security brought by President Bushs'' surge of troops.
Deaths in Iraq have fallen to levels below that of the war gainst the Taliban in Afghanistan, and peace, reconcilliation, and the Iraqis themselves are returning to Iraq.
Hardened, closed-minded far-left liberals, like Barack Obama and his surrogate John Kerry, try as they might to "nuance" or outrightly deny this progress - only expose their hatred for America - and the fact that the Bush-bashers are rapidly losing their War on America.
You will be defeated, liberals - and Amercans will never forget how you sought to destroy our country for the sake of your own political gain.
Get the REAL story that the liberals won''t admit to-

- Wow, it IS cleverly done. It doesn''t tell you where the stuff is from, or when it was put there, or why their mititary or black market thieves left it there for us. In fact, it twists and turns all over the place givng a multitude of possible incorrect assumptions.
The age of misinformation. - Reply to this comment

- Dear curse914,
A great triumph that this uranium is out of Iraq, a victory second only to the removal of Saddam. The triple will be complete when Saddam''''s nuclear sites are cleaned up.
The fearful can always find reasons to leave dangerous materials in the hands of dictators, and inspectors want to inspect it rather than see it gone, because if it is removed or the dictator is deposed and hanged, they and their bureaucracies are no longer at the center of things. The problem is solved, not simply watched over.
The icing on the cake is that this development infuriates apologists for Saddam.

By your logic I can call you an Osama Bin Laden apologist.
Keep this letter you have addressed to me and as soon as Bush captures Osama Bin Laden you can resend it without looking like a fool. - Reply to this comment

You must be even dumber than we previously thought. This uranium has been there for decades, not threatening anyone. Much of it was already looted, thanks to the ineptitude of your Fuhrer.
If you really cared about proliferation of WMD, rather than just cheer leading for your Fuhrer, then you would be upset about the treasonous act of outting an undercover CIA agent, Ms. Plame, whose job it was to track proliferation of WMDs.
You don''t really care though, of course, but are only interested in promoting a ridiculous and pathetic excuse, in the hopes that it will be accepted as justification for the lie-based criminal war of aggression against Iraq.
It won''t.
Try again.- Reply to this comment

- Well, so much for Saddam not pursuing weapons of mass destruction. 550,000 Kilos (1,210,000 lbs) is a lot of yellowcake. I''m sure there was no intent of WMDs using this stuff, afterall that WMD threat was just a bunch of made up lies. And for all the Nuclear Engineers making comments the radiation threat of yellowcake in itself was not significant except that it can be enriched to levels that could be used for weapons (or, yes, the peaceful use in Nuclear power plants). As far as President Bush''s attitude toward building Nuclear Power plants to reduce or dependency on foreign oil, Nuclear power remains one of the most cost effective and cleanest methods that we have to generate electrical power. President Bush also said that a big problem in the supply chain of gasoline and a contributing factor to escalating costs at the pump is that we have naot increaqsed our refining capacity in over 30 years. Also this seems like a valid point. We can increase the supply of crude oil all we want, but if we can''t refine it to a usable form, it does us little good. Everyone wants their lights to work and their car to be fueled but no one wants a refinery or a nuclear power plant in their home town.

- A Cameco spokesman, Lyle Krahn, declined to discuss the price, but said the yellowcake will be processed at facilities in Ontario for use in energy-producing reactors.

- I gar-ron-tee-ya Cheeny, Gilligan, Rice and pals would have all been ''''''''crowing like rosters'''''''' if all this yellowcake had actually been found in Iraq, why are we just now hearing about this?

Because it is the Yellow Cake that was looted during the initial invasion. The Yellow Cake that Bush lost track of.
They have finally recovered most it from the homes of civilians who had no idea what it was. It is the same Yellow Cake the inspectors knew was there and were keeping tabs on the amount. This is not news, but the kooks are crawling out of the wood work trying to make it something it is not.

- It has been learned that the US(SA) has transported 550 tons of "yellowcake" uranium from Iraq to Canada, then, it is assumed, ultimately across the border (does Yellowcake need a passport?) to the USSA.
Supposedly, the USSA took made this decision to have the uranium brought here to keep it "safe" from terrorists or power-mad Iranians who might want to make an A-bomb with it.
The real reason, however, is that the neocon Fascist Nazi Republicans and the Great Emperor Bush II are so convinced that "Bagdad John McBush" McCain will be elected/appointed to the throne in the Oval Office, that they are making available to him large stockpiles of uranium so he can begin building the hundreds of nuclear power plants across the USSA to make us "energy independant" (but NOT independant of the multi-billion dollar utiility companies ready to "price gouge" us even further!).
Besides, all these new nuclear plants will be even more targets for those nasty "terrrrrrrrorrrists" which "Bagdad John" says he will protect us from (just as the Great Emperor Bush II did!). And if another "3 Mile Island/Chernobol" occurs, so what???
SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!!!
sig heil, DEFINITELY MORE OF THE SAME, McCain!!!! - Reply to this comment
- But Alpha and Beta and Gamma radiation are not WMDs. The whole world has Uranium. Its everywhere. Dig a hole to plant yer tomatoes and chances are yer digging up some Uranium ore. Its in lava rock (the oldest rock in the world). And everybody gets exposed to it every day. Its normal.
