But trying to find a common ground to have an intelligent discussion with you right wing fanatics is an exercise in futility. All I can do is hope that the American people will understand what is at stake here and do the right thing.

Same thing King George II said about talking to terriost. Guess your right, nothing ever gained by talking?

===We can still have Hillary. It IS up to US. All we have to do is let it be known that Hillary backers are NOT going to vote for Obama under any condition. Thats all it takes. If we don''''t play thier game with them, there is no game and the candidate that most Democrats cast their votes for in the Primary will be the next President of the United States===

Then vote for McCain (or don''t vote, which is the same as voting for McCain). Then, a year and a half later, when American soldiers are still dying in Iraq, I won''t blame neocons any more. I''ll blame you.

Time to stop stomping your feet like a six year old that didn''t get what the wanted. Hillary and Obama are a lot closer politically to each other than to McCain and to vote for McCain out of spite is just plain dumb.

Exactly Element51: Its never too late to learn. world maybe small but their are lots of peoples and lots of cultures and you don''t have to like or agree with anyone just respect it. Do understand them before you judge them, most people judge book by it''s cover. Ignorance is bliss and the rest is utter disaster. Pitch and fork lets go witch hunting

FOX NEWS discovered the presence of a massive spy ring inside the United States run by the government of Israel. This seems a harsh gratitude from a nation which obtains 10% of its annual budget from the American taxpayer, $3+ billion a year. Over the years, American taxpayers have been required to send Israel more than four times what the US spent to go to the moon. WAKE UP SEE THE REAL INTERNAL THREAT. WAKE UP AMERICA AND SMELL THE COFFEE.

CBS_Oliver....You are SO right. One thing I have learned from my visits to these boards is that reason and logic are virtually non-existant. I am amazed by the hatred that abounds here. I was under the impression that any issue could be discussed in a rational way and that the truth would always rise to the top. Man, was I ever naive to believe something like that. You''d think that after 63 years of roaming around this planet that I would have figgured things out by now. Just shows you never get to old to learn.

WAR CRIMES ONLY BRING MORE CRIMES. WE CAN''T BLAME PEOPLE FOR IT OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER. ONLY THE SURVIVOR KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM OR HER. OPRESSION, SUPPRESSION WILL NOT WORK, IT WILL ONLY ADD MORE FUEL TO THE FIRE. FOR EXAMPLE: IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY, PLO AND ALL. WHAT MAKE ME SICK IS UNNECESSARY WAR. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DIPLOMACY? I HAVE SUGGESTION HOW TO WIN WAR WITHOUT CIVILIANS DEATHS. "WIN THE PEOPLE AND YOU WIN THE WAR" ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. IF YOU CAN KILL PEOPLE, YOU CAN FIND WAYS TO WIN PEOPLE TOO.

Satan was the original Conservative scare-monger tactic.

Back when mysterious illnesses struck people down, and into convulsions (epilepsy), it was a credible lie.

Now, it''s just a train without a conductor... chugging along because of family traditions handed down from one generation to the next.

Except now we know the Earth is not the center of everything, the sun has spots and so is not perfect, and the Earth is also not flat.

At least they aren''t burning the dissenters at the stake, anymore...

cont.

Some of you would like nothing better than to see a great war start in the Middle East. You think this will hasten the return of Jesus and that is what you long for. If you get your way the slaughter will be of a scale that will boggle the mind. We need a leader who is at least willing to TRY to stop this madness, not one who is comfortable with 100 more years of war. There is a possibility that Obama will fail if he gets the chance to try but it is a certainty that McCain will fail because he won''t even try. But trying to find a common ground to have an intelligent discussion with you right wing fanatics is an exercise in futility. All I can do is hope that the American people will understand what is at stake here and do the right thing. We''ll see in November.

To the posters who continue to rant about Obama being a muslim...It''s total BS. There are many reasons that this is a false statement. Don''t you know that as a presidential candidate the CIA and FBI have a dossier on him that goes back to his birth? And this religious jabber about the "anti christ" is totally absurd. I believe with all my heart and soul, (yes, I do have a soul) that religion is the most powerful dangerous thing on the planet. Your claim that atheist are uneducated is way off base. I was raised in the church but being a curious child I was always asking questions to which I never got answers. When I asked, "why do bad things happen to people" the answer was, "it''s God''s will". As I got older I started to read, starting with the Bible. No matter how I tried there were no answers there either. I finally reached the point where I no longer believe in fairy tales. As an atheist I still respect your right to believe in whatever way you choose and I would never try to stand in your way. I fear you but I know that common sense and facts will not change you. I can tell you that I do NOT worship Satan since I do not believe in him/it either. I do believe in good and evil but they exist only in the hearts of men.

Then we agree here.

Now all that remains is figuring out which theocratic fanatic-led country currently has nuclear weapons, and regularly threatens and attacks its neighbors- which brings us back to Israel.

Hence, Israel is a clear and present threat, while Iran is not.

Meanwhile, the Israelis just keep on threatening, murdering, maiming, imprisoning, and torturing their neighbors, day, after day, after day, and continue to steal and steal, under their apartheid regime policies.

Israel provides a crystal clear example of everything that can go wrong when a country is created and ruled, based only on religion.

Theocracies are dead-ends.

"if you truly don''t see the difference in risk between Israel and Iran having nukes, you are the most ignorant person on the face of the planet." We already knew atheist libs were the most ignorant people on the planet, but thank you for clarifying

Thankfully I''m not one of those "atheist lib" critters, whatever they are, so I can see the difference: Israel is more racist, more militaristic, and more land-hungry. Ergo, Israel is more dangerous and oughta be de-nuked, post haste.

No-brainer, dude.

In the end the Palestinians are a victim of circumstances, and "legal" circumstances at that! The real question for me is why didn''t the Palestinians declare an official State of Palestine and have their State recognized Worldwide like other legal nations in the U.N.? Why did Palestinians leave the recognition of Palestine to chance? Palestine as an official State never existed!! Large numbers of Palestinians occupying land somewhere is not official and not good enough! I cite a legal example in the U.S., if you start a new business called FeelStupid1 and ran that business for 10 years or longer but never legally registered that business name or legally incorporated that business name, someone could legally register or incorporate FeelStupid1 in the U.S. and then sue you for using their business name and stop you from using it as well because you didn''t take care of your paperwork just like the Palestinians didn''t take care of their paperwork! The Palestinians may have an emotional "feel sorry for us" ground to stand on, but not a legal one! Palestine never officially existed!

Hopefully the people of Israel will either dump their zealot fanatic mis-leaders will and rejoin the human race, or else simply continue to push themselves into the sea.

I''d be happy if they just pushed themselves into the sea. Gee, what could we do with the tens of billions of OUR treasury we send them every year! Hmmm.
