- My fellow Americans as we all know that Israel has a great hand in us going to war on the first place. Iraqi govt have caught people who dress like Arabs and even speak the language but were Israeli Jews. News was squashed like eveythig else you don''t see. How long will it take us to understand Israeli Jews want us to do their dirty deeds. We also caught Israeli spy in our country but as always news was squashed. Are they really in our best interest?????.
Do we really need Israel? It''s costing us too much to keep Israel as friend. As always we can make base where Israel is and can control that part of the region. We are paying for what Israel started. War crime bring more crimes as we know from past. By keeping quite we are supporting the genecide that is going on in Israel. The whole world knows whats going on and our role in Israel. Look what Jews have done to my Christan country. We have to reclaim our country and fight for whats right and just. God Bless America the true Christan country. - Reply to this comment

- I support the military, I just believe they have been ordered to do something that is not right.
If this many military are protecting Iraq, who is protecting the US. With all the floods and fires endangering this country we sure could use some more help here. - Reply to this comment

- george2221...The reason that Israel has nukes to begin with is because they have been attacked on all sides by no less than 3 countries at a time...2 times...How many times do 3 countries have to attack (at the same time!) before they finally prevail?...not to mention all of their terrorist allies?....It is Israel that has been on the defense since day 1...Israel needed to have a nuke umbrella as a deterrent to the alternative...Which is being pushed into the sea and "vanquished"...It is the Arabs fault that Israel had to arm herself this way....But maybe you are too young to know the history...especially if you don''t read it.

While publicly claiming "progerss", we see tht the staffing requirements by the Pentagon reflect none whatsoever.
"Progress" is reflected in a draw-down of forces.
Otherwise, it''s a status quo, which is whar he have here.
No such draw-down is occuring, so neither is any "progress". - Reply to this comment
- YOU DO NOT LIKE THE USA IN THE MIDDLE EAST,,,
BLAME THE DEMONIC-RATS,,,
THE DEMONIC-RAT DOCTRINE,,,
On February 16, 1943, President Franklin D. Roosevelt said the "the defense of Saudi Arabia is vital to the defense of the United States." On February 14, 1945, while returning from the Yalta Conference, Roosevelt met with King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia on the Great Bitter Lake in the Suez Canal, the first time a U.S. president had visited the Persian Gulf region.
The Carter Doctrine was a policy proclaimed by President of the United States Jimmy Carter in his State of the Union Address on 23 January 1980, which stated that the United States would use military force if necessary to defend its national interests in the Persian Gulf region. The doctrine was a response to the 1979 invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviet Union, and was intended to deter the Soviet Union%u2014the Cold War adversary of the United States%u2014from seeking hegemony in the Persian Gulf. After stating that Soviet troops in Afghanistan posed "a grave threat to the free movement of Middle East oil," Carter proclaimed:
Let our position be absolutely clear: An attempt by any outside force to gain control of the Persian Gulf region will be regarded as an assault on the vital interests of the United States of America, and such an assault will be repelled by any means necessary, including military force. - Let''s talk fiscal responsibility. Why is the Iraq government only paying a fraction of the price for vehicles and equipment that we payed 3 times as much for? Why are we paying the Government of Iraq rent for buildings that can''t be worked out of? WHY IS IT THAT THE DEMOCRATS DON''T GET THEIR HEAD OF OUT OF THEIR A$$ AND FINALLY STOP FUNDING THIS WAR THAT''S ONLY MAKING THE RICH RICHER? McCain has made it clear that he has no intentions on pulling troops or reducing the number of troops in theater, and Obama claims that he is going to pull the troops out or reduce the number, but will not committ. *** over? who are we kiddin'' here? We are going to continue coming over here and waste resources that could be used to support ourselves CONUS. The local savages here don''t want us to pull out because that means their goose will no longer provide golden eggs for them...we are trapped in a money twirl that will only benefit the contractors and the Iraq government. Politicians and the media will paint a portrait that can fool the average bear, but ask a trooper that has been here 3 to 4 times and ask if he/she has seen the benefit of our presence and wait for a response, you''ll be surprissed. We are tired of 10 months break between rotations, NTC does not count as time at home!!!!!

- On July 1, the cost for refined fuel used by troops will jump from $127.68 a barrel to $170.94 %u2014 an astounding 34 percent increase in just six months and more than double what the Pentagon was paying three years ago

- hermitdave,,,, Check this out,
While prices charged to warfighting units have fluctuated in recent years, they have not faced such a steep spike in so few months. The cost of jet fuel, for example, jumped from $2.31 a gallon in October, the start of the 2008 budget year, to $3.04 in December. As of next month, units will start paying $4.07 a gallon.
Straight up War Profiteering off the backs of our troops & the War on Terror if you ask me.
The U.S. is spending nearly $10 billion a month in Iraq and more than $2 billion a month in Afghanistan. - Reply to this comment
