I am not "one of the reasons" we lost soldiers, I have no command authority, nor do I hold political office, therefore I am NOT "one of the reasons"...I am currently, just a poster on a discussion board....you however are doing everything to undermine the war effort and prolong the war to benefit you''re party

Hey JoeCoolSwat,
"...other African countries, where the poor people can be bought by war lords, who set up terrorist havens, especially in remote mountainous regions, such as the Hindu-Kush mountains"

Finally, JoeCoolSwat said something 100% correct. Guess what happened with the Europeans with all their Colonies around the world. Guess what happened to America with all their Imperialism in Latin America. Guess what happened in Vietnam. I can go on and on but I wish you to be like that becuase its my guarantee for 4-Nov-2008.

Yes, continue until America files for Chapter 13. Osama Bin Ladin was honest enough to tell us all the WHYs and we continue to ignore it.

1. Iraq....prior to the Iraqi war, every time we needed to launch an air strike, we had to beg permission from Saudi''s to utilize their airbases...not anymore, we now have a large number of army and air bases established in Iraq to launch future strikes

2. Afghanistan.....During the Afghanistan war, the taliban regime and AlQaeda were virtually destroyed...yes they have had resurgence, for the reasons I mentioned, but it''s unavoidable in these types of countries....In addition, we also have a number of army and air bases now in Afghanistan and the government their is improving and flourishing

Joe,,,, You are one of the reasons we have lost over 4,099 Americans in an unecessary war & the cost of any realistic gains in the Forgotten War in Afhganistan. And the destruction of our national security & economy.

lovegetpeace....do you realize that this happens in all poor, undeveloped third world countries, such as Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, other African countries, where the poor people can be bought by war lords, who set up terrorist havens, especially in remote mountainous regions, such as the Hindu-Kush mountains

lovegetpeace.....the one thing you have wrong is that the Afghanistan people hated the Taliban rule and the AlQaeda presence....look how happy they were when Afghani woman and children could go back to school again after the taliban was defeated....we did not occupy Afghanistan, per se

There have been entire careers built on the word "Partisan" and what it means.

The main reason is that our agenda is not necessarily the partisan''s agenda

Old joke says it well:

Indian Chief, "Two Eagles," was asked by a white government official, "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You''ve seen his wars and his technological advances. You''ve seen his progress, and failures."

The Chief nodded in agreement.

The official continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"

The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied. "When white man find land, Indians running it. No taxes, No debt, Plenty buffalo, Plenty beaver, Clean Water; Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; All night having ***."

Then the chief leaned back and smiled. "Only white man dumb enough to think he can improve system like that."

I suspect a lot of folks in other countries may not laugh at this joke.
