Bush is just like a yummy donut or a piece of delicious cake, always leaving you hungry for seconds. Well Bushs great footsteps are going to be hard to follow, he has been so great and beloved by all.

"Goodbye," says one Berlin woman as she waves goodbye. "It was not fun, and I am looking forward to the change."

And she didn''t even have the misfortune of living under his regime.

"...By that logic, then the world is going to magically turn around during the next president''''s term. World peace will break out, gas prices will plummet, unemployment will go down. If this doesn''''t happen, and life basically seems more or less the same, then you''''re wrong."

It take a lot more time to create than to destroy.
Dubya should have worn a hard-hat and carried a crow-bar his entire term.

Not no where near as eager as we are, and this joker had the audacity to say that he would bring dignity and integrity into the White House...hoh man. May this clown spend the rest of his days in the woods, digging up stumps, or picking up pine cones, or acorns even.

At the end of 8 years, people are always ready for a new president...everyone gets fatigued no matter who the president is. That''''s why they created term limits.

yankeerebel7,

Stating obvious falsehoods, especially those that are totally opposites of the facts is openly obvious to EVERYONE reading your comments.

Fact:
FDR was elected for 4 consecutive terms and actually died in office.
Legislation was passed limiting future presidents to only two terms, precisely because of that.

Bill Clinton left office with an approval rating of 65%. He could, and probably would, have been reelected for a third or more terms

"I''ve been living abroad for the last two years (S. Korea and the UK"

"I fear that a third term of war-mongering (as embodied by McCain and the GOP"

Yes having foreign experience outside the USA has given lots of Americans real viewpoints on how Europeans view America.

The problem with Europeans though, is that they forget too, that it was not America''s call to go to Iraq.

The British government fabricated the invasion and selling the invasion to the American public on BBC.

Research Jack Straw (former Shadow warrior of British National Defense [yes Americans use ''s'' in defense]
and the Downing Street Memo that shows that he took ideas for the invasion from a California PHd student.

Anyone watch BBC or read Reutuers (sp)?? The propaganda of anti-American sentiment was channeled directly into world opinion through these "Allied countries"

This Congress hasn''''t done enough to stop the madness, it is true, but anyone who believes that the democrats, even with their majority, could have done anything substantial needs to take a high school civics class.

The solid Repugnican minority has enough votes to block anything the Dems try to do, and the Smirker-In-Chief knows it. True, The House could cut off funding the war, but the hasty, uncoordinated retreat caused by such a move could be disastrous both in terms of loss of life as well as politically.

Before you criticize the Dems for not carrying out their mandate, take a dose of reality, and look forward 217 days, 16 hours, and 36 minutes, when President Obama will bring sanity back to our government.

Prove you''''re insane, vote for McCain.

Let''s hope that those who voted for the neocons will recognize the error of their ways. God help us if we get four more years of the same. Nothing McCain says can be overshadowed by the record this far right extremist cell (that hyjacked our nation and terrorized the world) has established. Liea, lies and more lies. I''m sick of it.
