- FeelFree, Every action by Iran has been agression against Israel. They support militarily Hamas which has an active and on-going campain against Israel. You do remember the hundreds of missiles that they indescretely launched into Israel do you not? If you cannot understand what Iran has on its'' agenda, you have no hope of ever understanding. You need to see the big picture. Israel is being threatoned by a nation that thinks suicide bombing will send them to paradise... If developed, they will get the bomb to someone who will use it against Israel. No other nation has openely threatoned the existense of Israel except Iran. I guess you "feel" that they shouldn''t react unless they are attacked? With a nuke, that wouldn''t make much sense. Whould it?
Israel has never threatoned a nations existence with the exception of a response to an action.

IRAN Unavoidable
Yes they have them. They are undeclared. When Saddam threaten to put chemicals on Scuds, there took them out of the hangers for the soviet to photograph and show to Iraq but the proof will be a mushroom cloud. They will be used agaist other WMD. - Reply to this comment
- Why is this baboon still walking the street making threats? Shouldn''t he be in handcuffs sitting in some jail waiting sentencing for warcrimes? Where is God?

The quote in question translates to something more like, "the regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time", which is more of an observation, and not a threat.
Nobody needs to "wipe them off the map".
They have shown themselves to be self-wiping.
I think that this is what he was saying with this statement.- Reply to this comment

It is a mis-quote.
Get a translation from someone who speaks Farsi, rather than the Zionist/corporate-controlled Western press. Someone like Juan Cole, for example.
At any rate, I have shown you how this quote is irrelevant, even if it was accurate, so it really doesn''t make any difference.- Reply to this comment

Israel had a rapist for a President, and a series of belligerent war criminals and crooks as Prime Ministers.
They are clearly a very real terrorist threat and should be neutralized one way or another.
At the very least we should stop making welfare payments to them with our precious tax dollars.- Reply to this comment
Clarification-
"Israel, unlike Iran, DOES have ILLEGAL nuclear weapons..."
They are a global menace, and should be forced to surrender them.- Reply to this comment
TCAndrews62,
Re: "President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in 2005 that Israel should be "wiped off the map."
Nope. He never said that. If you are going to quote him, then at least try to get the quote right.
At any rate, it probably should be, as it was obviously a terrible mistake form the get-go.
Even using your misquote though, this sounds like an opinion rather than a threat. He obviously did not threaten to be the one to do it, even relying on your misquote.
Re: "Iran has also stonewalled attempts by the IAEA to delve into allegations that several Iranian projects appear to represent different components of a nuclear weapons program"
The IAEA says that they are not developing nuclear weapons, so your own source refutes this point.
Re: "An Israeli Cabinet minister warned Friday that Israel will attack Iran if it doesn''t abandon its nuclear program."
Again, you undermine your own argument. Israel, unlike Iran, DOES have nuclear weapons, and they constantly attack and threaten their neighbors, including the example that you just gave.
They have exactly zero legal authority to do so, and it''s pretty clear who the belligerent aggressor is here, and it ain''t Iran.
Re: "Does anyone disagree with Israel''s plan of action?"
Sure. Just about everyone on the planet does, aside from a handful of fascistic dead-enders, dead-brained Zionists, and religious nutters.
MAN, you guys are dumb.- Reply to this comment
- JERUSALEM - An Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites looks %u201Cunavoidable%u201D given the apparent failure of sanctions to deny Tehran technology with bomb-making potential, one of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert%u2019s deputies said Friday.
%u201CIf Iran continues with its program for developing nuclear weapons, we will attack it. The sanctions are ineffective,%u201D Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz told the mass-circulation Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
%u201CAttacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable,%u201D said the former army chief who has also been defense minister. - Reply to this comment
