[If we used energy as wisely as the Europeans did then we would save almost enough to replace Saudi Arabia. Its like a fat man whining he spends too much on food because he choses to eat out five times a day. Everyone hearing him whine thinks to themselves "go on a diet and shut up". The world thinks we should shut up and conserve like they do.]

instead of gwb giving tax breaks to the richest 2% in the us of a, he should have created a demand for efficient use of energy resources.

how about proposing a 100% deduction of all monies spent on a car that gets 70mpg ... and 200% deduction of the cost of a car that gets 100mpg?

how long would it take the car industry to have a car in the showroom that they could sell to all those desiring to excercise their deduction? what degree of competition would likely result in the race to get these potential customers?

he should go back to playing golf ... the results would be pretty much the same ... he has a good game ... and everyone else is left with little.

[After all this "paranoid" behavior from Obama and other flamming elites in our liberal wolfpack press along with the Dem leadership in our 110th Do Nothing Democrat Congress.................we now find out that Jimmy Carter was the person Bush was referring to. And Bush was referring to Jimmy Carter becasue he met last month with Hamas, a terrorist group.]

give me a break ... you idiots will believe anything you''re told ... wont ya? oh, that''s right ... only if it comes from the idiot in charge! (your authoritarian leader)

if they meant carter why didn''t they say carter? even after they were specifically asked they still maintained their vague stance.

it''s all part of the their engineered message ... mention the key phrase that will ignite the ''followers'' (appeasement) ... make a vague reference to who we''re speaking of ... and let the rest be filled via the mechanic of human psyche.

they even left the specifics out for a day or two so you could all lather at the mouth w/ your ''need an enemy'' pre-disposition.

"Yes, their leaders can give the flimsiest of excuses and even outright lies about things they%u2019ve done wrong, but why do the rank-and-file believe them? What happens when authoritarian followers find the authoritarian leaders they crave and start marching together? "

You know YOU more than any other Nazi on these boards seem to have a problem with our FREE Press! You obviously want some controls on it, to make sure the Reich Propaganda gets out and NO rebuttal to that is allowed. So tell American''s WHO would you have do that job for us? Would you like to have a Propaganda Ministry like the Reich in Germany? Maybe you''d like a little more down home type of situation like the Klan had in the old south. Should we just let a Computer, programed by the Head of the Gestapo, do the job? Right now I can get my news where I choose... If I want to bury my head in the sand I can go to FOX and hear nothing but the Party Line... If I choose to hear a Liberal Spin I can go to the NATION. It''s really up to ME, an HONEST Hard Working American who thinks for themselves, where I get my news now... PERSONALLY after seeing what Bush has done, I like it that way. Sorry! Sieg Heil Bush

And Bush was referring to Jimmy Carter becasue he met last month with Hamas, a terrorist group.

Obama needs to apologize to the Nation or resign. We don''''''''t need anyone politicians that seek to spread "hate and divide" which is EXACTLY what Obama and his elite pals were trying to do here.

Sad but the liberals in our wolfpack press need to "extract" themselves from being "in-the-tank" for Obama.

Because it was the corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack press that pushed this "lying propaganda"....enough!

127 buck a barrel! And the saudis (17 of which were those who carried out 9-11) thumb their noses at us!
*********
Isn''t it interesting that the Saudis dropped the price of fuel almost overnight after 9/11. Just when we all knew the prices were going to go sky high, it was the Saudis to the rescue. Interesting.

bushit''s long list of failures gets another addition -

127 buck a barrel! And the saudis (17 of which were those who carried out 9-11) thumb their noses at us!

if we add the cost to Americans at the pump since the bush war in iraq in 2003, you could add another couple of trillion dollars to the cost of this neocon republican mess!

the worst president in US history, without doubt

All the jobs we''ve lost because fat-azz, greedy CEO''s have shipped them to India and China have now caused competition for oil, so our oil has skyrocketed. At least, the new demand for oil on world resources created the by India and China as this week''s ''flavor of the day'' excuse as to why prices keep going up.

So, next time you buy ANYTHING saying made in China, beware. While the cost may be cheap, think of what you''re paying in gas these days to get back and forth to work, just for that one item.

I said, at some point, if oil gets high enough, it will no longer be favorable to ship everything from China. We''ll be saving TONS in fuel shipping costs and buying American again, keeping our hard-earned dollars HERE for a change.

If gas is 2.45 a gallon in Mexico, why can''t we buy more oil from them. We are closer than anyone else so would be more profitable for them to sell to us.

As for the other comments on here about invading saudia Arabia, why waste our military''s lives, lets nuke them and take over with a neutron bomb attack. They have been *** and controlling us for yars, enough is enough.

I disagree and feel you overlook a lot. For example, after World War II, there was new idea of zoning and separating work from home and business districts. Suburbs were built massively and exclusively for only a certain level of income. These suburbs were built for the automobile in more ways than one. You were going to have to have one if you were going to live in the "country." Soon, we had the traffic jams and all the smog as a result. Today it is even worse. Most people can''t afford to live near where they work and are forced to travel many miles. Public transportation is almost non-existant anywhere outside of major cities and even then it isn''t very effective. Then NAFTA came along and flooded our highways and byways with tons of traffic from across both borders. Some interstates are now one big traffic jam from beginning to end. Rail lines have been done away with for a cheapers and uglier version called Amtrack. Now, we are subject to the whims of big oil and an airline industry this is shot to hell.
