you have a good point. but if you really look at the start of this season, it started feb 5 when arkansas voted for huckabee. then every state that supported and huckabee won got struck by a devestating tornado. and now, look at arkansas, it is getting pounded almost every time a storm goes thru, and that is where huckabee lives.

i just feel huckabee is evil. the way he worked his words to defame women, other religions, other nations, etc. very sly and evil. it was not politics for huck, it was his own personal agenda to get elected to force his god on the world, almost his own words.

track these storms and track the huckabee states. it is very scary. i am glad he is not running for pres any longer, i just hope mccain does not ask him to be in office somewhere.

ya know, the chinese are a strong people, sure they are going to mourn, but they are not going to be big cry babies about this tragedy. they will pick themselves up and rebuild, with or without any help from other countries.

buddist are more christ like than most christians i know. and for that, they are very strong, smart, and resourceful. wish the people in new orleans would follow their example, like they should follow the example of kansas, arkansas, and all the other places that have been hit by devastation.

No one mentions the volcanoes that are erupting in Chile and Hawaii. Looks like more stuff going into the air than 100 coal fired power plants.

''I find it ironic so many rightwingers believe SO strongly in God without an ounce of proof. But when it comes to global warming there isn''''t enough evidence in the universe to convince them of it''''s existence.

You are talking about two different things here:
-Faith-something deeply personal that doesn''t require outside checks.
-Scientific phenomenons-like "global warming" pretends to be.
The difference is clear.
Try this for a change-we''re not isolated here,we live on a planet-which is part of a solar system.
THE SUN makes up 99 percent of the total mass of this said system-so don''t come up to me and try to feed me propaganda-I know humans are not responsible for anything relevant-we can barely make a scratch in this self-regulating environment.

The good news is the production of imitation leather pants and plastic burgers will slow to a trickle.

[The massive Three Gorges dam, the world''s largest about 350 miles to the east of the epicenter, was not affected, according to the information office of State Council Three Gorges Construction Committee. The area around the enormous dam remains increasingly precarious as rising waters in the reservoir have led to landslides. ]

this must be due to that ''flexible concrete'' that they used to build the dam. it''s hard to believe that it would not be affected.

Arrogant people this has to do with human lives and all you are interested is politics which has nothing to do with this earth quake. These are humand lives we are talking about and then we have inhumane people dissing their garbage. Like I sais how fortunate this country is that GOD is yet to discipline.

s1ckd09 said: "Under Reagan, marginal tax rates were cut from a top of 70% to 28%. Revenues (from all taxes) to the U.S. Treasury nearly doubled...increased from roughly $500 billion in 1980 to $1.1 trillion in 1990."
They would have gone up in any case, as the economy generally grows 1-3% a year. More importantly, between 1980 and 1990, the national debt tripled, thanks to REagans tax cut. Reagan increased defense spending (with money he now no longer had), leaving nothing for infrastructure. And that is pretty much where we are today.

You can''t grow revenues by cutting taxes (ie your income). It doesn''t work for the Feds any more than it works for your own personal budget. It that were true, the national debt wouldn''t have tripled during Reagans tenure. But they did, calling the lie to your so-called data.

Little tiny, whiney Christian Republican brains will do us in. Thanks for not thinking and just holding on to your dusty Bible.

Obama can fix all of this, and he will when he gets his message out to all of the people in all of the United States. All 60 of them. According to him, he has visited 57 states, with one to go, not including Alaska and Hawaii. Yeah... he''''s the guy we want.
