Some Foreign Aid Allowed In; Nearly 2 Million Awaiting Relief; Stench Of Bodies "Beyond Words"
- Why doesn''t the U.N. make itself really useful and put together a military force to take out the junta? Why doesn''t the U.S. or NATO for that matter? All these world organizations and alliances are supposed to be about promoting peace and eliminating dictatorships, but in reality have not done much of anything other than the token food aids, which almost always end up with the corrupt regime in charge anyway.

Maybe if we closed our borders we could then send aid to Mexico to support all it''s hungry. Maybe if the Feminazis didn''t delegitimize the nuclear family - there wouldn''t be all those single mothers leaving their kids with their boy friends who then abuse them. Maybe if we didn''t have activist judges dictating social policy we wouldn''t have self-serving politicans trying to squeeze every dime out of the people for their own self-aggrandizement. The people of Burma deserve the most basic of human rights - the right to live. The entire world must speak out. - Reply to this comment

- Millions of children in America literally go hungry everyday. Posted by patsy_owens at 11:42 AM : May 09, 2008
Your parents smoked a lot of pot during your formative years, didn''t they? Let''s see....how many American children died of starvation? How many American children died from lack of medical care?

- Whats the point of having total air superiority over much of SE Asia, Africa, and the Middle East if you can''t use it in a case as clearcut as this. When those people are rescued, against their own governments wishes, the payback in terms of goodwill is going to be massive. Not only will the junta be overthrown by enraged locals, but the new govt installed in its place is likely to be extremely pro-U.S.

I just read earlier in the week where he is trying to sign on to some lame-*** legislation to fund some UN giveaway progaram to end world hunger....or some such nonsense like that. So, maybe he would....if he had the chance.....which he won''t. - Reply to this comment

Come on Bush forget you dumb little girls wedding and do something for a change. I have an idea how about all those trillions in oild profits his buddies have, wow maybe they can spare a few billion to help these people?

- Maybe we should send Jimmah Carter over to talk to these baaaaaad men......who would starve their own people in their time of need.
I have it on good authority (mainly from Obama) that all we have to do is talk to these people....maybe hold hands and sing Imagine....and everything will be alright.

- We ought to drop supplies from the air anyway. The junta has no access to the affected areas, they can''t do squat about it.
Out of pure humanitarianism, we should just drop the supplies anyway. If the junta fires at us, we blow them away. - Reply to this comment

Now he''s all for putting it in the government coffers and making sure you don''t get a penny of it. - Reply to this comment
- What the Myanmar officials are doing is tantamount to genocide. If ever the US and its allies had reason to impose our will on murderous thugs, this is it. Send in the Marines and give the cyclone victims food and shelter.

- And fat Hagee is Perfect in his stupidities?

Hagee is a crackpot. And Hagee has a ministry not a church. McCain doesn''t go to Hagee''s auditoriums; and Hagee is not McCain''s pastor. You can look for any example you want, but the fact remains that your Oreo is in big trouble with his pastor history - Wright and Otis, Ayers and Dohrn, Rezko and Farrakin. Like the little red neck that you are vote for him because he will make sure it will be your last. - Reply to this comment
