It''s nice to be able to help other Nations, but it would be nice to get help right here in the USA. My family Income is around $2000.00 a month. We have a $450.00 rent. $300.00 a month car payment, $100.00 a month insurance, $270.00 a month Health Insurance, plus Utilities, and if anything is left we buy food and clothing. IF Mr. Bush could get congress to change the way Food Stamps are given we "might" be able to eat once in awhile. At this time we make to much money. the Federal government needs to give discounts for Medical Insurance, when considering Food Stamp, and possibly housing, and other things. IF we had no car there would be NO job. So as Americans we can NOT win for loosing.

60 Minutes

The healthcare crisis in Middle America

A charity originally designed to bring doctors and medicine into the jungles of the Amazon is now doing much of its work in American towns and cities. It''s a stark example of the healthcare problem: 47 million people in the U.S. without health insurance, and millions more who are underinsured.

Hey Mr. Bush! Stop giving away MY money. That''s right MINE! It not your money to give away. It''s my money and every other hard-working American taxpayer''s money. There is another poor hungry nation out there that you seem to ignore..America. I am over 60 and was looking forward to retirement..But hell, I''m gonna have to work til I die just to put food on my table. I even voted and supported you for 8 years, but Mr. Bush, you are wrong...How in the hell can you take care of the world when you can''t(won''t)take care of your own.

Gov Perry in Texas says there is a 12-15 million dollar surplus in Texas, that''s one place to get some money. and it is good to help those in need. americans have a good food stamp program if you guys really need more help. most americans are pretty fat so I kind of doubt it.

Bush is completely wrong about giving food aid to poor countries instead of cutting off all federal money to these "criminal" ethanol factories.

McCain said this morning that he is for stopping the ethanol factories on MSNBC. Bush is just as bad as Obama and Clinton for this shameless scheme to starve the world by supporting this corn conversion to ethanol.

Bush''s dingbat brother, Jeb, refused to let the federal government authorize gas and oil drilling on the west coast of Florida. There could be enough oil and natural gas there to end foreign dependence on oil.

We need alternative sources of energy - but ethanol from corn is a terrible idea. We need solar, wind and nuclear for energy.

For God sake, don''t starve the world over ethanol.

I just returned from the grocery store, just about empty-handed. Having spent my week''s grocery budget for about one-third of what I only months ago used to buy for the same money, I''m convinced the desperately hungry in 3rd world countries are eating higher on the hog than I am. How about some fiscal responsibility, Mr. Bush? Stop spending lives and money in Iraq, for starters.

Where are we going to get this $770 million? Borrow it of course. We already owe $9.4 trillion dollars, what''s another billion?

More nonsense from the borrow and spend Republicans.

Liar pants Bush didn''t ask Congress for close to $1 billion, HE ASKED THE CHINESE. Congress has no money, they are IN DEFICIT ANY MONEY MUST COME FROM THE SAUDIS OR CHINESE. So now we go begging to the Chinese to feed our citizens. Bush is an insult.

How can this have happened to our nation. We are a living a lie.We are no longer the land of the free atleast not for us. Can we not fix the problems here before we have to help someone else. We have homeless people here we have starving men women and children right here. We are not on top of anything except someone elses problems. Lets take care of our own back yards before we tackle someone elses. Feed our own clothe our own house our own not some one else. We are going to make everyone else rich while we drown in our own debt. wake up people we are living in a nightmare that we can''t wake up from.

Dear Mr. Village Idiot,

You have already got all the money you deserve and then some you neo cons b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s. have had enough. You don''t like to compromise well now we will no longer do it for you. You and your ilk have wasted $1 trillion dollars in your war and not matter what the shock jocks on the raido or tv say it will be a bloodbath for you political party. They should have forced you to do what the American people asked by veto. But they said hey you were the decider and could waste America. Well guess what deciders you day is drawing nearer each day.

This is why the Repulicans were out of power for 40 years and still they learned nothing.

Have a good walk in the wilderness neo cons.

The ethanol subsidy distorts the market. It allows corn to rise in price and it is covered. Repeal the subsidy and you will not have the problem.

But wait, might just be someone in the USA needs fed or shelter or maybe clothes. Quit feeding the warlords of Africa. Most of the world would sell us out for a few euros. Lets take care of the ones paying the bills.
