Tehran Renews Campaign Against Popular U.S. Doll, Other Western Toys
- I wonder if there isn''t some kind of government compensation for which I can apply for having been so deprived as to not have ever owned a Barbie myself. And, I meant to say Iranian men, not mean. It must have been a slip of the finger.

- I must have been deprived in my childhood. I never did own a Barbie.

- Two of Barbie''s accessories could be an AK-47, and a strap on belt all loaded with dynamite.

- I think that a whole new line of clothing and accessories could be developed to appeal to Iranian mean for the approval of Barbie for their women. I''ve read that in Islamic Countries of the Middle East the malls cater to women with designer burkas. Couldn''t there be a whole line of designer burkas for Barbie? What does the average house wife in Iran travel in when going to the store? Does she take a donkey cart? Or is she driven there by Ken? What style are the typical cars? She could have whatever make and model of car is the most common in Iran. She could be a talking doll and her recorded message could be, "Yes Master." The recorded message could recite a prayer since only the men pray in the Mosques. I''ve wondered, where they crowd so close together to pray with their butts up, what does prayer smell like?

- Maybe Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton can give a good-will tour of Iran and extoll the virtues of a Barbie-rich culture, complete with peace and understanding. Stup*d, spo*led ****** need to promote their personal views too, ya know.

While I laud your apparent fascination with the ********, genital mutilation happens to be the brilliant idea of some African tribal cultures and is not practiced by Muslims. That should not however stop you from having a fear-based, shallow view of the world that allows you to lump people into artificial groups which you can then judge without expending any thought. - Reply to this comment
- When you think about it, the icon of the west : (Barbie) certainly cannot provide very much feminine validation or beauty confirmation to a population made up almost entirely of women with black or very dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. After all, Barbie is a blue, eyed blonde American--Iranians could end up with the same syndrome of other races who embraced the ideal of barbie but whose women were found to never measure up physically due to genetic features, skin color, different hair or eye color than the doll--so in a way, it makes a lot of sense--though it is weird the way they choose to go about addressing this.

- Iran has decided 10 years ago that "Barbie" is a decadent Western toy from that "Great Satan", the USSA!
What Iran wants to see is Barbie, fully clothed in veils and shawls with appropriate headgear and face covering. Ken, on the other hand can dress in normal street clothes but must have a face like the leader of Iran, What''s His Fuzzy Face!!!
Therefore, in order to aggrevate Iran even further, the Great Emperor Bush plans on sending B-2 bombers to "bomb" Iran with millions of Barbie and Ken dolls! This plan also has the approval of "Bagdad John" McCain who has wanted badly to "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran!" anyway. McCain never said what he would bomb Iran with!!!
SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!!
sig heil, more of the same, McCain!!! - Reply to this comment
