This will probably shock you, but this "lib" says that we should leave those people alone, quit loan sharking their little GDP, and let them sort out their problems.

It is not about giving them money, it is about we need to quit robbing them of their own, under the unending foreign debt shakedown schemes we place upon them. Let them develop their own resources, and get out of Africa.

A significant contributor to this crisis has been 7 years of Bush family planning policy. The Bush administration has refused to give aid to any family planning programs if they have anything to do with abortion services. The result has been substantially reduced aid for family planning around the world for 7 years. Millions did not get contraception help due to this policy.

And while hope cannot be eaten, it can motivate to hold on just a little longer, the time gained can lead to solutions, rather than anarchy. So some hope is better than none.
