I agree that spray and release should apply to humans also. It''s business interests that push the no abortion, no birth control concept so that they have an ever expanding base of consumers. We need to control the population and eventually cut it in half, otherwise we will fish the oceans dry, use up all the farmland, and change the weather so that fertile areas turn into arrid deserts and it will be hell on earth.

The best farmland in America has been turned into blacktop, concrete and housing developments. We are now a net importer of farm products. The fools that we''ve elected in Washington, local and state have no concept of proactive planning that will benefit mankind. Their only concerns are helping their cronies and getting rich. As an example are the many politicians that earn relatively modest pay but end up very wealthy. We have a corrupt system full of corrupt politicians.

The Haitian president said the government will use international aid money to subsidize the price of rice and that the private sector has agreed to knock US$3 off the price of each bag."

So basically we are artificially supporting these people who continue to pop out multiple babies per couple, who dont practice birth control and are overrunning their limited resources in a finite environment.
At some point the two will collide with REALITY of overpopulation in a finite environment- this planet, and this planet can only support a certain number of mouths to feed, time to cut the apron strings- no more food aid untill they use birth control all the time or are spay-neutered so we dont keep contributing to their being able to double their numbers in short order making it even worse.

The goody two shoes have to come to realize that at some point there will NOT be enough food for everyone, that can be prevented by cutting the strings NOW before we are forced to later.

For years, the agriculture lobby pressured Congress to keep a bad law that requires that all food aid that the United States sends abroad come from US farms. This has prevented charitable organizations from helping underdeveloped countries learn how to grow their own food and maybe even sell some. This law has wasted millions of aid dollars just on the cost of shipping food to areas that should be growing their own.

Much of the worlds hunger and financial problems are consequential to our messed up Congress and the Bush administration. I am ashamed of our leaders for being so selfish and indifferent to the poor including the many needy people in this country. How will we ever fix this?

This is not news to those of us living outside the U.S.. In fact, most people I know have been able to keep an eye on the truth of what is going on as the U.S. sinks, and the washout effect its having on the rest of the world. This situation is taken lightly buy many Americans as one can see from the comments. Funny thing is, Americans are not immune from hunger and have seen nothing of what they have in store for them. Lots of "yet" to come!

The truth will set you free.

Maybe those Hatians should try gardening instead of waiting around for a handout like a bunch of socialist democrats!! If they were starving due to a massive drought, or were refugees, I might be more sympathetic.

Hunger is why I''m advocating a "Ganja for Food" policy. Haiti ships us prime marijuana, and we ship them potatoes. Good deal for both.

The U.S. is too nice, let them eat oil. If oil is $100 a barrel, food should be $100 a bushel, seems easy enough to me!
Posted by tbweb at 02:52 PM : Apr 12, 2008

I agree. However, that same barrel (42 gal) of gas is almost $200 and food is already over $300 a bushel if you consider that a shopping basket is about the size of a bushel basket.

Let them eat dirt; we need the oil until we can come up with an alternative.

Borrow more money from China. Send it to the warlords in Haiti, then get back to the real business of foreclosing on the homes of the American middle class.

Haiti has always been, and always will be a cesspool. Bad genes and no one can do a thing about it.

We all knew it was coming, the politicians knew it, big business knew it and we just ignored it and moved on. Now its here and we will all fight for oil, food and good drinking water. Whoever did the video game, Frontlines, Fuels of War, has it right !!

Thank God for John McCain to guide us through all this.
