I wonder how many people surveyed in this poll, could even find China, Iran, Iraq, or North Korea on a map?

I''''d bet 3/4 couldn''''t get all 4 right.

Not only how many, but also what demographic was polled.
As ridiculous as this article is, I''d say you are being generous.

Lawrence of Arabia was WW-1 not WW-2, plus it was from Cario, Gulf of Aqaba, in Jordan to Damascus to Turkey. It was after WW-2 that this became what it is today, Lawrence got killed in an accident in 1928 I think.

Since we are getting nasty, I%u2019ll add this to your cud chewing list %u2018cause I doubt you have much of a grasp of world history, but most of the current problems in the Mideast did not start with ANY U. S. President, but with the British in the 40%u2019s. With the starting point of LtCol. Thomas Edward Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, and how well the British stood by their allies after the war.

Part of Britian''s problem in the Middle East after WW2 is that they COULD NOT afford to keep any influence there....like India, African nations, etc. We keep going on our current track, we''ll be like them and China will supplant as as the world power.

These ISRAEL FIRST Senators are all up for Reelection in 08. Ask them how much Israel influences their vote on Iraq? Also, ask them how much US DEFENSE CONTRACTORS LOBBYISTS influence their votes in needless US defense spending.

middleman8, that came from 21 years of training in the US Navy. And yes, that plane was eavesdropping, or spying if you prefer, in INTERNATIONAL airspace. Try to argue with the quality of GPS units on those EP planes. Why don%u2019t you explain how an airliner can maneuver to the point of ramming a jet fighter, even a Chinese one? Face it, they forced it down. And you better believe we have a right to spy on China, that incident is only one reason to. You also might want to check out Canada%u2019s (h*ll, the entire UK%u2019s) war debt of WWII, it was forgiven, but I forgot which Pres. did it.

Good question. I''m guessing that the pollsters offered only several choices, such as Iran, Syria, Korea, basically the Republican party''s hate list. These kinds of polls are totally bogus and don''t deserve any media coverage.

Dom200q ;

Where in Gods name did you get all that horse s--t propaganda from?? You better get some truth in your statements.
I was in China when what you are wrongly stating happened..The US had no right spying on China. They should have shot down that spy plane.
And by the way the only thing Canada owes the Big Bully to the south is a shi-t kicking.

Our greatest and most dangerous enemies, by far, are in Washington D.C.

There is little point in identifying others.

I recently graduated from an MBA program, which generously gave scholarships to Chinese students. It didn''t seem that the other students were given the same advantage. I personally had to work my way through school so I could afford it, and was constantly berated by the administration about having to work.

Sure, it was interesting to have foreign students in class, but those students graduate and return to their home. Those spots in the program could''ve helped American kids get better jobs.

We do this in other areas, too. I started in Engineering, but simply couldn''t compete with the foreign students. They would squeeze the American kids out of the program, then at the end they would return home. No wonder there''s not a lot of American engineering students in our universities...it''s so much more important to give the rest of the world a good ol'' American education.

I have always enjoyed the Chinese culture, and I loved my time in Hong Kong (1970%u2019s %u2013 80%u2019s) but China%u2019s leadership has never respected human life.

They ARE still actively spying on our military (1 was caught a couple of years ago). You might remember that they accused us of purposely %u201Cramming%u201D their jet fighter with a Navy multi-engine electronic info gathering plane and keeping our aircrew for a couple of weeks while they stripped the secret gear out of it.

Now this is strictly my own opinion, I do not have any facts to support my beliefs. I doubt that they are behind the QA (or lack thereof) of the lead and pet food stuff, but even though they have %u201Cprosecuted%u201D plant managers, I%u2019d bet that was just for Western news people, even if an execution was carried out. I doubt that they want to curtail these types of problems until it gets into their pocketbook, which is a double bladed sword.

As to our owing them money, they are not able to foreclose on America. If you look into our own past, we haven%u2019t on France, England, Canada, Kuwait, and all the rest of the world that owes us. Only Israel has paid us back. Imagine that.!

Our biggest problem with dealing with the Chinese is that they think in decades, and we think in weeks. We are short sighted.

-Then maybe you should look into strengthening your faith. If you''''re a Christian you should know that Christ lays out the truth in black and white. But that''''s your call.

Nah, I''m just fine with my religion. I''m glad to see that unlike Jesus, you place unbelievable "judgment" on your peers, which I believe, is left for someone else.

How about "killing" home invaders? Is this "black and white?" We could easily get into semantics, but I think most on here would agree in "gray" regardless of religion or not.
