It is of no benefit for you all to rip down the Dalai Lama, I don''t agree with his religion, but any fool can tell he is a great man - and non-violence is his conviction. And he sticks to his conviction even when there is potential gain from betraying himself.

Contrast that with not-great men, such as Bill Clinton. There is a man who held up non-violence as his conviction as a young man. Then in power, he betrayed it. That''s a not great person. That''s a piece of worthlessness in the cosmos.

We seem to be like the ancient Jews, crying for Barrabas. We seem to want the liars and false people as our leaders, while we smear and hate those of real convictions and wisdom. If you recall the reward of the Jews that came in 70 AD, perhaps you will give pause to your insane hate.

Most of these malcontents can''''t even balance thier own check book, let alone inspire a historic nation in the modern age of fascist governments.

What''s a checkbook?

Who inspired a historic nation?

From what I read this man is a total coward.
"His" people have had enough of being repressed and such and all he can do is tell them to bow down and not make any waves.
What a joke he is.
I retract my naming a sandwich after him.
The man is totally non-inspirational.
A man does not run a house let alone a country like this fool has done.

I love how most of these postings are devoted to ridiculing the Dalai Lama. Maybe if these people are so smart and effectual, they should try becoming religious leaders of an overpowered nation. Most of these malcontents can''t even balance thier own check book, let alone inspire a historic nation in the modern age of fascist governments.

Believe me, I would really love to like this guy but he doesn''t do ANYTHING.

He walks softly and carries NO stick.
He raises NO awareness of the crimes against HIS people.
He may as well stay in an apartment and watch cartoons.
If he sat down and thought REALLY HARD he could come up with a great message.
I would buy a good book with a REAL message from this guy.
For now he is a scatterbrain.

This fool has nothing to quite! Last time I checked he had no country, government, or people to lead. So what would he quite? What he does need to do is get the hell out of the way so others can press for a real freedom movement from Chinese rule.

That''s the unfortuante truth about messages of peace; they don''t have much bang or shock & awe while violent repsonses are much more effective in the short term. Is that what you''re trying to tell me Rushlimp? Maybe that''s why some say the meak will inherit the earth because everybody else will kill themselves off leaving only the pacifists. I would agree on one point, he''s in the minority and therefore you and the Chinese will easily eat him up like a sandwich.

Yeah, well he''s been really ineffective with his message of "peace" up to now.

No leadership skills, the guy is a total windbag.
If he steps down it will totally change the dynamics of?
They might as well name a sandwich after him.
The "Dalai Lama"
-a "feel good" light sandwich with no substance

I''m hungry.

sure, that makes alot of sense, the Dalai Lama rotting in a Chinese prison and eliminating even the remotest of hope for independence. Is that what you''d do rushlimpdrug? If the spiritual leader is not imprisoned merely because of his political and religious views, he''s able to advocate for his people from the outside. A wee bit more effective wouldn''t you agree? It''s called oppression! Buhdists don''t believe in violence and that''s the point he''s trying to make while the dog eating and dog beating Chinese don''t allow freedom of religion among many other of their communist dictum.

The Dalai Lama''''s stand is consistent with his values. Would that more of the world''''s leaders shared them.

Dalai Lama''s policy:
1. "Run and Hide"
2. "Speak of Peace and Brotherhood"
3. "Wear a Clean Dress Everyday"

The man is a hypocrite.
He goes around kissing a$$ from people of power around the world.
Dalai Fake.

The Dalai Lama is showing the way; peace! Believe me: the power of this message will humble China''s current government and the chinese will one day admire this man more than they now do Mao!

Violence is the solution-of-choice for leaders too impatient to use diplomacy, too greedy to be satisfied with enough, and too immoral to reject violence. The Dalai Lama''s stand is consistent with his values. Would that more of the world''s leaders shared them.

Just go ahead and quit Dalai Lama.
You have outlived your usefulness.
No one listens to you.
You may as well walk around naked.
The world looks at you as a freak without a country.
Quit and see who really cares about you and your funky dress.

The greedy American businessmen lay off millions of American workers and import cheap Chinese labor under the H1B program, and outsource jobs to Asia.

The Chinese have learned these jobs very well, and now are going to do them for their country, not ours.

Meanwhile, the business geniuses who run the USA are wondering why no American kid wants to go into science any more.

Between the Bushes and the Clintons, they have about ruined the future of our nation with their giveaway to Asia, just to line their own pockets.

And now it turns out their "valued trading partner" isn''t all that different from Chairman Mao''s "Red China".

Smart, real smart.

Now ask Bill Gates for another campaign contribution, Hillary!
