A friend of mine was married for 4 years in a physically abusive relationship. The marriage produced two children and ended in divorce. When the ex-husband wanted to marry another woman (Catholic) he was told he couldn''t until his first marriage was annulled for a fee of about $900. My friend refused to agree to annul the marriage mainly because of the children. Good for her...how can the church just decide that this marriage didn''t exist in the first place (even though it lasted 4 years and 2 children later) and then charge a fee to annul it!

Who does the Vatican think they are!? I was raised Catholic but got the heck as far away from it as soon as I turned 18.

When I was young Masses were said in Latin...those priests that dared to say one in English were strictly reprimanded. Now the church doesn''t allow the mass to be said in Latin without special permission or those priests will be stricly reprimanded!

Eating meat was forbidden on Fridays. If you accidentally ate a bite of meat and then realized it was a Friday...you had to stick your finger down your throat to vomit it up as soon as possible. Now Catholics can eat meat on Friday.

When we recieved communion the priest put it in our open mouth. We were told that if we ever touched the host with our hands or fingers that we would burn in hell for eternity and our fingers would rot off first. Now I see the Catholics pick up the host and put it in their mouth themselves.

I don''t understand how anyone can follow a religion that just changes the rules at whim from one extreme to the other...especially while setting fear of damnation in innocent little kids.

I knew that some time ago, you could see it last sunday when after an absence he blasted in with about 10 posts in a row all frantically angry and spouting bibull this bibull that jezus this that and the other thing, attacking and analizing anyone who doesnt buy his version of the krap he spews.

When he spews his bibull krap, Ill post Pagan, Wicca and other material and show how ricks brand of religion is about violence, hate, threats of punishment, subversion etc its more closely related to islamic religion than anything else- LOTS of parallels.

I posted showing how the christian stuff was hijacked from pagan rituals as well as almost word for word out of the ancient Egyptian book of the dead, and from astrology.
I also posted some comparisons between pagan, Wiccan and his brand of god worship, and showed how the former spoke of internal spirit, harmony with nature and earth, other life, animals etc while the latters bibull is full of threats, bloodshed, punishment, death, subversion, hate and more

When you compare them side by side, its clear which religion is the better one for the person, the planet and mankind- Pagan and Wicca which are devoid of blood, bloodshed, violence,''sin'' satan, devils, hel1 and punishment.
The christian/religious reich make their OWN devil- right in their midst- they only need to look in their mirrors to see his face- their own.

My buddy finished a "tour" recently when he got reactivated. He had nothing to do for 1 year, so he bought a guitar and learned to play. Crazy.
