When my parents lived in Oman, a fairly liberal country, they were upset that companies like JCPenney were coming in and pushing American tastes (revealing clothes, MTV and whorish videos, rap attitudes) on their youth that is traditionally very devout. With those attitudes come crime and dismissal of authority...no wonder they were fighting back.

I''m not a stick in the mud, but America doesn''t have to push their products and attitudes on every other country in the world. Just look around us and see what is broken...we are losing respect around the world, but it is because of our attitude of superiority. THAT''S why people want to attack us.

I heard the other day that there are more smokers in China than there are RESIDENTS of the US. Thanks, tobacco companies. Oooooh, it''s so COOL to be like an American and smoke! And let''s see, China and India have populations totaling in billions...and they want to be just like us and everyone gets their own CARS!!! Wow, now we have competition for oil, and our prices are skyrocketing.
