rushlimpdrug - Your command of facts and information are breath taking. Your comprehensive knowledge of regional politics and motivations is stunning in it''s scope.

Your only point is the US sent money to Columbia - so in the reasoning your so fond of - that means Columbia must be wrong and anybody opposing Chavez must be right.

You would prefer to see Columbia under the boot of a local marxist dictator who can''t feed his own people (despite the vast wealth brought in the those US oil dollars) just so you can blame US foreign policy failures.

You play loose with the lives of so many people just to satisfy your ego. It must be nice to be that sure of everything that you just don''t need any evidence to support it.

rushlimpdrug - So all Columbians are stupid?? Kind of stupid thing to say isn''''t it?

Groups all over the globe have existed for decades without being eradicated. Your leap of assumption is that Columia could eliminate FARC if it wanted to. Can you prove that?

Having made a false assumption you then build on that false, unproven assumption to state the government of Columbia is the source of the drugs. Again - can you prove that? Or is that another data point that just allows you to insult an entire nation without any knowledge or experience.

2 miles into Ecuador isn''''t an invasion. . .
But then maybe that thinking thing isn''''t your strong suite. Maybe its linking unrelated things claiming there is a causal relationship (you might want to look that word up) and then assigning blame for no valid reason.
Yup - you are good at that.

Yeah, everything anyone else post is an assumption.
Well, I guess venezuela is processing and making sooo much cocaine and whatever that Chavez gladly gives them a minimum 300 million on top of the fact that they get to keep profits from the drugs.
Oh, and also Chavez SPENDS BILLIONS to protect these thugs.
Poor little colombia, can''t do a thing about it.
Bwha!
Let''s feel pity for colombia they are sooo SMART!
Yeah, I made bad assumptions
I stand corrected.
I bow to you and the brains you and all the colombians have amassed.
1 BILLION
2 BILLION
3 BILLION
4 BILLION
5 BILLION

Or maybe the drugs are coming out of Venezuela

Per the above article:

"Colombia has long complained about this (terroist escaping from Columbia) to both Ecuador and Venezuela, which have done little to confront the issue. According to rebel deserters recently interviewed by the AP, Venezuela allows FARC fighters to get rest, medical attention and process cocaine for unhindered export to the United States and Europe.

"The rebel presence has made many Venezuelans who live near the border uneasy. Chavez''s threats have only made these people more anxious. And war fever seemed absent from the streets of Caracas."

Barbarossa_t Yes - the US has a very bad history in the region. Going all the way back to Teddy Roosevelt. That doesn''t mean the money to Columbia is for any purpose other than the stated purpose unless you can prove otherwise.

BTW - there are some documents (though how valid they are is not understood) that says Chavez gave FARC $300 Million - pretty good money for a band of kidnappers hated by the people of Columbia
Sites about FARC and Columbia for your reading pleasure

And FARC has no popular support in Venezuela either.

Barbarossa_t - I think if you look back you will find every administration since Jimmy Carter has been sending money and guns to Columbia. GWB didn''t invent that.

2 miles into Ecuador isn''t an invasion. Love the way you picked up the Marxist party line without asking any questions. That leaves you kind of vunerable don''t you think?
