Are you kidding? Even the conservative republicans are going to vote for Hillary over McCain - they hate McCain THAT much.

- The main reason the electoral college system is out of date, is simply because the majority of the population should pick the winner. This system currently favors the several large "swing states" leaving the majority of residents in the smaller states without a legitimate say in the election. It also eliminates third parties from having a legitimate chance at winning. (I personally believe that partisan politics is killing this country - the electoral college system ensures it will be around forever.) This system is broken and it needs to be eliminated. If you disagree with me, then do me a favor. Quit posting to me about it. I don''''t care what your opinion is.

I will trust Jefferson, Washington and Franklin to know more about what is right than i would you. Quite frankly, your lack of knowledge on the history of the issue is insulting to me as an American.

- Ok folks, I am done for now. Time to go home. I hope that I have made the point that many of you liberals on this blog are not aware of our own history and are not willing to do the research to back up what you say. Please, research. This is an important issue. It matters what people think about the process, but to base your opinion on misguided/misinformed data or assumptions does not serve you or your country well. We are all on the same boat. We don''t have to agree but we should be able to disagree with civility and with facts.
