How many "good" Christians realize that such a verse appears in the Bible? Of course most preachers keep these bloodthirsty words away from their congregations, and the few Christians who do come across these verses, re-interpret them for their own purposes, not realizing the impact these words can have on others. Looks many of the commentators have hit some raw nerves responding to this article. What most of us humans fail to realize is that people, countries and yes religions too must go through evolution because that is nature''s way. Evolution is not just for biological entities. What''s going on in Saudi Arabia, or more appropriately with Islam is that the philosophy of Islam has made the religion stagnant, just as the Christian conservatives and the Bible. There is extremely small difference between the minds of Christian or Islamic fundamentalists - both refuse to use God given intellect. Both religions have an innate inferiority complex, are morally defunct and are intolerant in treating others as equally. As far as witchcraft is concerned, it was not so long when we Americans did essentially the same thing by burning "witches" that is anyone who was different or better. Prior to that we performed genocide on the native Indian tribes, in order to steal their lands, and here our great Christian religion was an accomplice in stating that it was okay to kill them because the native savages did not have any souls. Let''s not say that the (man made) Sharia Law is bad; it is part of the Islamic package deal. We need to be patient and peaceful until Islam grows up.
