I hear you, I am still in and have been for the past twenty plus years and witnessed countless intrusions. They are the checks and balances if you will. The missile defense shield would be tilting the advantage in our favor, so, you use Iran, et al. to even up the playing field. It makes sense from a deterrent standpoint. I would also like to add, that if we all invest in each other monetarily we will all be less likely to attack each other, i.e. China owning 3 trillion in U.S. bonds and realestate.

Interesting.. Yet we find that this is true with all forms of governments. We know socialism is a failed experiment. Its proven itself so many times over. And look at what was done under the umbrella of Socialism in Russia. A true Democracy(as opposed to our Republic form of it)? Well Rome, while it prospered for awhile, feel victim to mob rule and was beseeched with corruption. So, to me its not necessarily the product of Capitalism, its the product of human greed. At least with Capitalism we as citizens have the freedom of choice in a free market environment to choose who we spend our money with. I do not disagree with the assertions that greed exists in all forms of government, just that its indicative of Capitalism.

Why would we shoot down Russias missiles? The most likely scenarios all involve us being on the same page as Russia. If they had a valid reason to launch missiles, would they not seek UN approval?
