No, this is only an exercise in sheer logic. I may be agnostic, I may be Allah, but what the Pilgrims whom this nation evolved from thought is what is important. It matters not if you are hot, its whats upstairs that you ain''t got.

Meanwhile CBS News and the other major media dutyfully reports that Scientists say the moon is made of rock but George Bush says the moon is made of green cheese and the media takes no position on the matter.

We report, you decide.

Never heard Bush say that, what is your source, or are you on the sauce?

Next time they come at the ships . Have a sniper fire 1 shot into the hull of each of thier boats . If they can`t tell that it`s a war ship flying U.S.A. colours then THEY SHOULDN`T BE THERE TO BEGIN WITH .

The Mayflower averaged two miles an hour on its voyage here. We started on windpower, now we are going to jet into the future by running back there for resources?
He who puts his hand to the plow and then looks back is unworthy of the kingdom of heaven.

Weakness encourages attacks. Freedom of the Seas must be upheld. Sink the ships that threaten and keep the sea free for everyone.

We had an iranian buy our apartment building. They took us to court and evicted us one at a time to bypass rent control and raise to market value. The dishonest American judge found in favor of the iranians because higher rent pays his salary increases. Although the iranian''s used hydorofluric acid to etch our windshields, we had no support from the courts. It is all a rouse, and everyman should wear a life jacket in this case, because higher up, no one cares.

From The Navy Times:

"Cmdr. Jeff Davis, a Navy spokesman at the Pentagon, could not say if the voice belonged to the heckler.
%u201CIt%u2019s an international circuit and we%u2019ve said all along there were other ships and shore stations in the area,%u201D he said.

When asked if U.S. officials considered whether the threats came from someone besides the Iranians when releasing the video and audio, Roughead said: %u201CThe reason there is audio superimposed over the video is it gives you a better idea of what is happening.%u201D

Similarly, Davis said the audio was part of the %u201Ctotality%u201D of the situation and helped show the %u201Caggressive behavior.%u201D

Another former cruiser skipper said he thought the Monkey might be behind the audio threats when he first heard them earlier this week."

The best part is definitely:

"...Roughead said: %u201CThe reason there is audio superimposed over the video is it gives you a better idea of what is happening.%u201D"

Priceless.

Compare the Navy Times Reporting with the reporting of CBS. Quite a difference!

So now the Navy tells us, "Yeah, the original story we told you about the Iranians threating us was BS but we there was a real incident a month before that when we threatened them and even fired at them."

And this is supposed to make it better that our military are liars amd inept liars?

What a bunch of dishonorable F-Us!

There is no Iranian or Iraqi soldier who could beat an American soldier in a fair fight. That''''s why they plant roadside bombs. Planting roadside bombs is not the sign of an "elite" fighting force.

No, it''s the sign of a guerrilla fighter. We used many of the same tactics in winning our freedom by going against what was considered to be the "honorable" warfare of the day and besides, guerrilla tactics work more often then not. One man''s terrorist is another man''s freedom fighter and when it comes to Iraq they have far far more justification for acting like freedom fighters then we do for acting like what we are, an invading, occupying army.

So it''''s not the first time, heh? But the U.S. made it up. Well, I say next time the do it, I''''d fire a warning blast and then blow the bastardos up and they deny it too.

The neocons under Cheney are desperate to find any reason whatsoever to launch a war with Iran. The biggest goal of all REAL Americans has to be to stop them from achieving their goal, at ALL costs.

downtowner97,

Re: "There is no Iranian or Iraqi soldier who could beat an American soldier in a fair fight."

By "fair fight", do you mean like a fight where a U.S. soldier drops 40,000lbs of bombs, from the safety of an airplane, and the civilians and "soldiers" try to get out of the way?

downtowner97: Calm down. The term "elite" was used in the relative sense, as in elite compared to their regular army. By the way, wars are fought to be won with whatever means possible, and were never meant to be fair. That''s why nations keep developing more and more lethal weapons. Of course an American soldier will likely win a fight against an Iranian, due to his superior training and weaponry. Just don''t call it fair.

When we send our money to the Middle East for gas, it''s gone forever. Those people do NOT buy American products. We print more and more money every day, and they put it in big buildings and store it. If they ever pull that money out of those buildings and spend it, the money you and I make at our jobs will be worthless.

There is a solution. Vist fieldsoffuel.com The film will be showing at Sundance next week, and in theaters everywhere later this year.

New rule: The media and government are no longer allowed to use the word "elite" to describe ANY soldier from any Middle Eastern country. Acceptable words are "pesky", "dangerously insane", "delusional", "suicidal", or "misguided", but never "elite" I don''t think these "elite" guys even wipe after taking a squat in the desert.

I repeat, there are no "Elite Iranian Revolutionary Guards". The "Elite Republican Guards" in Iraq surrendered to unarmed news reporters in the first days of BOTH wars we fought with Iraq, and Iran wasn''t able to beat them in 9 years of intense fighting.

There is no Iranian or Iraqi soldier who could beat an American soldier in a fair fight. That''s why they plant roadside bombs. Planting roadside bombs is not the sign of an "elite" fighting force.

From the Navy Times on recent overblown Iran incident:
"The threatening radio transmission heard at the end of a video showing harassing maneuvers by Iranian patrol boats in the Strait of Hormuz may have come from a locally famous heckler known among ship drivers as the %u201CFilipino Monkey.%u201D"

Correction:

Should be:

"...since we now know that the alleged "threat" THAT was PRESENTED in the audio-only portion of the Navy''s recent account...is a shabby hoax..."
