Well if the man lied, it''''s absolutely amazing how many believed him. Which is to say that we should throw all the bums on the Hill out because they can be beguiled by a little cowboy from Texas who sweet talked them into war. Sorry. It''''s a very poor retort. You can do better.

That is okay mudrose--we are used to your poor retorts. Bush is a liar and that the Congress is complicit is no surprise, when faced with a recent tragedy of the proportion of 9/11 and being labeled a traitor or worse if they stood against him, the Republicans and many of the American people who were clamoring for blood --they could do no less. No one ever said the Democrats were courageous and they are even less so, when they are a minority. Be that as it may. He lied. We all know it, and some of us bought it--but not all of us--not then and not now. As for throwing them all out--I am not adverse to that--but I would wince if we threw them all out without reversing a few more things--we don''t need another Republican world dominion club anytime soon. LOL

Sorry, time to get to work, it has been fun of a sort.

A neo con Muslim. Who would have thought it? Just remember there are only about 26% of you to the rest of us. LOL

t order to caputre those calls, FISA has to be updated. As FISA now stands, we are handicapped in capturing these calls. It has nothing to do with domestic spying.

Posted by mudrose at 03:13 PM : Jan 10, 2008

Why yes--I am sipping tea--but you--are on drugs. Bush asked for immunity from war crimes and had it extend to himself not just interrorgators and asked for immunity for breaking FISA for himself also. These are facts--that can easily be (and perhaps you should ) googled.

Nice try troll. We don''t need Bush to admit to what we saw and heard him say on tv with our own eyes and ears. Or are you saying that the media fabricated video of Bush saying he was not wiretapping when he was for years, and that when Tenet stated on tv about the Yellow cake and the Whouse said that Bush mistakenly said that in 3 public speeches, and when the video of Bush at the pre-Katrina meeting, and Bush finally admitting there were no WMD in Iraq and admitting on tv that Saddam appeared not to have a connection to Al Qaeda--all those appearances seen by millions were a lie? LOL. FAce it--you are only proving what I said.

Bush is a liar and those who defend him are liars too.

"your" is a possessive. the correct word is the contraction "you''''re" and save your tears for later in the year---I suspect you will be doing that a lot. LOL

Yes, the vaunted election of 08. When the liberals get their final vengence. Remember we went thru this once before in 2004, 2000 etc. etc. etc

Once again, thanks for the insite into the liberal mind. BLR is very dangerious, it might lead to Jihad.

Specifically, Bush must have known he was lying about wire taps and feared retribution when he asked Congress in 2005 and 2006 to grant him and others immunity for war crimes for any actions that occurred after 2002 and also asked for immunity for breaking the FISA law. Not the acts of an honest man or one who told the truth.

Are you sipping tea? The Amendments to the War Crimes Act, which the Congress passed by the way was for the protection of interrogations carried out by the CIA and the degree to which harsh tactics such as water-boarding were authorized by administration officials. A separate law, the Uniform Code of Military Justice, applies to the military. When interrogators engage in waterboarding, prisoners are strapped to a plank and dunked in water until nearly drowning. FISA is another misunderstanding that you obviouisly don''t grasp conceptually. Technology allows overseas calls to be channeled through our phone lines. It order to caputre those calls, FISA has to be updated. As FISA now stands, we are handicapped in capturing these calls. It has nothing to do with domestic spying.

No--I gave facts as reported in the media and acknowledged also by Bush. The only opinion I gave was that those digressions from the truth make him a liar and those who defend his lies--liars also. I also gave my opinion on why the Democrats are afraid to call him on the lies--what is not in question in any camp--is that he lied. I believe when someone in politics do that, they say Misspoke. Still, it is lying and you and every other American and indeed the world knows it.

Well then, I suppose the whole Congress is in violation of the Constitution too since they gave Bush authorization to go to war. Sorry babe, but we don''''t have to bow to any international tribunal or treaty which doesn''''t exist with terrorists. We made no pact or treaty with them. That''''s why this is all so muddled. We have islamofascists who come from many countries and are independent of them. These mongrels aren''''t like Japan or Germany or Korea. And don''''t even use Iraq as an excuse, because he was given how many years to comply?

Posted by mudrose at 02:59 PM : Jan 10, 2008

We subverted the Constitution. First when Bush stated we would use fighter jets to free any American imprisoned in the Hague for war crimes, second, when we decided to nullify our own signature to the Geneva accords and ignored the UN pact to not pre empt acts of aggression on any sovereign nation without provocation and third, when Bush had Congress grant him immunity from war crimes (Hitler did the same at Nuremberg).

The fact is, the Congress is complicit in what Bush has done, which is probably another reason not to impeach him, because they cannot indict him without indicting themselves. But the fact is, the Constitution was violated, specifically the 11th amendment and after that, the suspension of due process for Americans--and yes, Bush has that in a signing statement and actually performed that on 2 occassions to at least 3 American citizens. Padilla, the guy from California and one in Florida

b-easy3, according to your logic when the Japanese attacked pearl harbor there was no reason to go after hitler.

Using your very own words "The best defense is an offense" MNake up your mind you can''''t have it both ways.

Posted by notblue at 02:58 PM : Jan 10, 2008

You extrapolate information in the weirdest way. But let''s entertain your point. To follow Bush and your logic--when Japan attacked us, we should have invaded Mexico..... As for what I said, I stand by it--the real problem with many Republicans, you included as you do not think. YOu merely process and regurgitate--this leaves you at a supreme disadvantage in not only debates and political discourse but in knowing what to believe and what to challenge. My comment about the best defense being an offense is an adage not a truism. I would say you need to learn the difference--but I suspect you are one more answer to Bush--"No, our chillins isn''t learnin''" LMAO

Bush violated our Constitution when he ignored the 11th Amendment article 9, which stated that America must adhere to any international treaties, pacts or agreements we have signed and that jurisdiction over the arbitration or prosecution of any breaches would be held by an international body and could not be superceded by the US exectutive, judicial or legislatie branch.

Specifically, Bush must have known he was lying about wire taps and feared retribution when he asked Congress in 2005 and 2006 to grant him and others immunity for war crimes for any actions that occurred after 2002 and also asked for immunity for breaking the FISA law. So anyways.........

If the Iranians try this stuff again be saw them in half. Everyone cool with that?

Posted by hillaryin08

Hey, did you read about those 40,000 pound bombs that dropped on Al-Qaeda in Iraq? Apparently the palm and citrus groves got hammered. I feel sorry that those beautiful groves were destroyed. As far as the Iranians trying it again, they won''t. Unlike the British who are now pratically drowning in the quick sand of moral relativism, we still have our wit about us and Ahmie knows better. If he doesn''t, I''m cool.

He cannot answer because he knows his god lied. The best defense is an offense and the neo con defense of choice is to deflect and digress. Because once those answers were given, he could not refute them--we all saw the Prez on tv, and heard what he said and what later came out--Bush is a liar no doubt--the real problem is not Bush--it is those who lie to themselves to keep supporting the liar.
