The cease-fire was with the U.N. coalition, not the U.S. and, as such, was theirs to issue a resultion for non-compliance, not ours.

And Hans Blix was run out of Iraq in March, 2003, by the U.S impending invasion, not Saddam.

dubya cut Blix''''s inspections, not Saddam.

Yes, as I said Fake Marine, another UN rule (which was led by the US) that they continued to fail to act.

You place a lot of confidence in the UN fake marine. Why is that?

Is it because you are tying to solidify your position that you hate Bush? Or, do you really want the UN to rule everything and the US to succumb?

And you referring to me as "Poopy" is different, how?

Posted by poopusbuttus at 08:21 PM : Jan 09, 2008

I do not mean it as a form of slander. If you take it as such, I shall cease.

To me it''s just shorthand like I use "hungry" for hungry1968, or "J" for j-whitman, etc..

Who do you think sanctioned the first Gulf War, poopy?

And the Security Council didn''t give the dubya administration a resolution because they didn''t buy the dog and pony show.

Nearly 4,000 Americans dead, 10''''s of thousands wounded, & around 600,000 Iraqi civilians have died because of Bush''''s War of Choice & for what ???? Sketchy progress if any.

JWHITMAN -- Millions dead during WWII. A just cause. Iraq is the same. But, you''re wrong, as usual, about the 600,000 civilians. Go look at the UN report who have boots on the ground.

You''ve been told this and proven this before, but yet, you keep spouting those numbers. You fool....

Popping our planes in the no fly zones (Direct violation of Cease-fire agreement)
10. Kicking out the UN inspectors (Direct violation of cease-fire agreement

Maybe the banner should have read "Mission Not Accomplished -Just a Photo Op" to be more truthful.

Perhaps. But I think I laid out why the sign was posted. It was posted because we rolled through Iraq and took the capitol in a record 3 weeks time.

Ahhhhh. I think I got it now HUNGRY. So, you think the Mission Accomplished sign was all about finding WMD''''s, right?

Posted by poopusbuttus at 08:16 PM : Jan 09, 2008

Isn''t that what the war authorization vote was for? If Bush got the go ahead from Congress to invade a sovereign nation to allegedly protect us from the threat of WMD''s, don''t you think we should have looked for them?

I would think that if our troops had found WMD''s that he could have made the case, "See I told you Saddam Hussein had WMD''s!! And we took them away from him!! Mission Accomplished!!"

And what the hell was with that flight onto the AC carrier? Did he think it made him look like a war hero?

AND the secretary general of the UN said he believed the no fly zones were illegal, because NO ONE should be able to tell a sovereign nation what they can do in their own air space.

Semantics are a poor substitue for fact, poopy.

As dubya sold it on WMD''s and then proclaimed Mission Accomplished, why is that such a stretch?

Maybe the banner should have read "Mission Not Accomplished -Just a Photo Op" to be more truthful.

I just observe that you look like a fool continuing with that after my posting my info for any and all to see.

You, like most neocons, subscribe to demonization of those who oppose your views. It''''s nothing new by any means, but it only reflects poorly on the issuer, not the target.

Our forces were enforcing a U.N. No-Fly zone. Not an American No-Fly Zone, poopy.

The ceasfire was signed with the U.N. coalition forces, not with the U.S.

I believe the attempt was made Fake Marine, was it not? They failed to act, as they always do. But you, being the one world government democrat that you are, would love nothing better than to have the UN dictate how the US reacts when threatened on a constant basis.

If he had some other reason for going in, which he obviously did, then he should have had Congress vote on that other reason. He didn''''t have Congress vote on "regime change" because he knew that he would never get the authorization.

And, this would have made a difference to you? You would now be on the CBSNEWS boards saying Bush was right to go in and invade Iraq had he got congress to buy off on the fact that they were doing this:

1. Hussein tried to assassinate Bush 41 in %u201993 (This alone was enough to take him out)
2. All the resolutions he ignored after the first Gulf War (Direct violation of cease-fire agreement)
3. Terrorist group Ansar Al-Islam operating in Northern Iraq
4. Funding Hezbollah guerilla%u2019s for suicide bombings
5. Gassing the Kurds
6. Mass graves piled up
7. Torturing and sometimes killing political opponents
8. Torturing their Olympic sports members
9. Popping our planes in the no fly zones (Direct violation of Cease-fire agreement)
10. Kicking out the UN inspectors (Direct violation of cease-fire agreement

Hmmmmm. Interesting. Havent heard many Irishmen referring to other whites as crackers. Well, it does reflect your intelligence level though.

At any rate, I wont call you a racial slur but I do think that you are a fake Marine.

Posted by poopusbuttus at 08:12 PM : Jan 09, 2008

Whites refer to cracker as such in the south all the time, poopy...if that''s what they are.

You must be a yankee if you''ve never heard it.

Because when "Mission Accomplished" was hoisted, we had found no WMD''''s.

We didn''''t look for them, obviously, because we had only secured the country a few hours earlier. That was iron clad proof that the invasion of Iraq was NEVER about WMD''''s - and that was the ONLY reason that Bush had got the war authorization vote from Congress.

If he had some other reason for going in, which he obviously did, then he should have had Congress vote on that other reason. He didn''''t have Congress vote on "regime change" because he knew that he would never get the authorization.

Hey hungry-

poopy only took exception with the term "cracker". Looks like the rest was "on pointe" after all.
