Thats more BS. Ever wonder why the libs got off of that? Well, first of all the US Military increased the size of the Active and Reserve component. On the Army side of the house they added one Brigade (approx 4500 troops / bde) to each division which esentially added 4 divisions to the army. The 2008 goal is 48 combat brigades for the Active Component Army and 36 Combat Brigades for the National Guard and Reserve. As of March of last year the National Guard met their recruiting goal 7 months early! and of course not a word said in hte drive-by media. The army fell short by 2000. Considering the increase in manning thats not bad. We''ll see how the projections go by March of 08. remember this, the authorized size of the military is increasing at the same time recruiting is going on. On a side note, the highest re-enlistment rates are the units that have been to theater two or more times. Could be the bonus?

If you are better off now, feel safer, and have more money to spend than in 2000 - you are an anomaly. If you are being honest like most of the US you are worse off now than in 2000.
