Did i miss something somewhere along the way? Isn''t the NATIONAL GUARD to protect our HOMELAND? Aren''t they supposed to be here for disaster relief, protect against foreign invaders, and the like? WHY are we sending them to IRAQ which is NOT a threat to the US. Oh, i know... fight them over there so we don''t have to fight them over here... uhm.. what if they DO come over here? who will be left to fight them? NO ONE? because they''re all overseas in Iraq? Interesting...

What does "National Guard" mean? Bush lovers will say that guard troops knew they might be deployed overseas, but I think it''s a travesty to leave us unprotected at home.

If the war''s important, it''s important enough to draft people from all walks of life.

I thought the National Guard''s primary purpose was to defend our homeland borders. Now you know manipulative the Bushwacker can get . . . he would rather render the mainland defendless than to install the draft. What a con man.

Hillaryin08 said, "SgtRDS, its going to be your war soon."

It always was going to be his war. No one expected chickenhawks like you and the **** in the White House to fight in, or sacrifice for the wars you start.

Regards,

ps. I wish I could remember the wording on my original post, it was better I''''m sure. Never expect CBS to censor anything, especially given the *** these condumbs post.

that''s true. Even though I had my war 35 years ago, it looks like it''ll be up to us to help take America back from the neocons. I''m not worried though. If they''re all as big of pus*sies as Bush and Cheney it''ll be a breeze.

MCVet: I''ve said it before and I''ll say it again: YOU ARE AN IDIOT! I wish the US had something like the Waffen SS, Einsatzgruppen, Sicherheitsdienst,or Gespapo to scoop you up and make you disappear.

Americans should be proud to be a part of something bigger and better than individual liberty--global empire! Who cares about peace and freedom when we can conquer the world! Mwahahahaha!

Like most Americans, I applaud and admire these soldiers who put themselves in harms way at the behest of our Commander in Chief. Their dedication to duty and country is amazing. What is more amazing is that our C in C is still jeopardizing our young soldiers in a premeditated and illegal conflict. His vision is so fundamentalist that he''s willing to jeopardize the lives of all of us as he sees himself as a pivotal actor in the book of Revelations. I hope we can survive the last thriteen months of this paranoid and delusional Administration.

GrammaWhamma - The best way to support the troops and keep them out of harms way is to bring them home NOW.

Many of these 15,000 troops will lose their homes in foreclosurer. And because the Bush administration changed the bankruptcy laws, they''ll be left with no options or alternatives. They''ll be fighting a war for a man who stole all of their possessions.

LOL That''s the ONLY Prayer you Fascist have isn''t it? If somehow you can create a "Marriage Amendment" wedge issue. How pathetic you losers are! Do you really think winning that way will make it any different for you than it was this time. You can''t govern winning like that Sparky.. why? Because you can''t come back the day after the election and ask those you have spewed hatred and bigotry at to join and support. Maybe you Nazi''s will learn this someday but honestly I doubt it. I wouldn''t put a lot of money in the bank on your idea with hating hispanics... John McCain has already shown you what you will face. Sieg Heil Grand Wizard!!

JSAinWIS at 04:49 PM: When at Ft Sill, I ran across a sergeant who said some boys were running around in ''Nam with Tshirts, levis and tennis ... in 1957. That''s Ike, the guy who put GOD in the oath. I remember discussing this, we wondered since we were not godfearing, what was the meaning of swearing an oath on a bible to guarantee truth. We decided Judeo Christians would die before they would lie before their gods, WE Indians were on our honor to be as honest as functionality can birth as "our word is our bond and Truth is always a defense". We thought Ike did it because Anglo and Saxon Allied were losing to international socialism across the world. Ike created an illusion to confuse the international socialist movement ... notice all the communist kids echoing assimilationism in the voices of judeo christian right antiIndian infantry work forces from the south. The insurgency has become apparent in its observable hypocrisy changlings. Thanks Ike, for the visibility of one element of terror by intent related to another war ... hopefully ... scratch hope, let''s just be dilligent in observation and crosscheck with perspectives from other random ciitzens.

I thought the National Guard was a State militia and not a Federal militia. I''d like to know the mechanics of how the feds can control the states guard.

"Crazy" Dennis Kucinich is the most sensible and consistent of all of the candidates. If you ever listened to him with an open mind, you''d have to agree with everything he says. But you lack the first requirement - an open mind. Sigh. The new report released today shows that Iran gave up it''s nuclear weapons program in 2003. So of course the Bush Administration is LYING again. And again, Dennis is right. Why does someone who always tells the truth make you so angry, and the ones who never tell the truth get your vote ? That proves who the crazy one is.

I believe that it was Eisenhower who sent in the first advisors to Viet Nam.
Then there was that messy business with Iran-Contras under Reagan.

I would support the troops, but they keep going to war and voting for Republicans. That tells me they are either brainwashed, stupid, or both. If the troops staged a resistance movement and refused to go, I''d be there doing whatever I could to support them. But they won''t, so - they must support Bush, and that I cannot do. These are not helpless pawns in this game - they weren''t drafted, they are grown men and women, they have choices and they vote. When they start making sense in their actions, I will support them. So far, they haven''t.

Nancy you have spoken the truth, the Republicans can only start wars they always end up passing the mess on to the Democrats. I guess are parents were smarter than us because they kept them out of power for 40 years.

Republicans were out because of McCarthy the slander king now if a senator form Wisconsin can cause them to be out for 40 years how long do you think a President can keep them out?
