Bush Announces Two Sides Will Immediately Resume Negotiations To Create Palestinian State
- Have you ever read the Near East Consulting polls on Palestinian attiudes towards multiple subjects one of which is if a earyl election were held today who they would vote for. The majority would support Abbas and Fatah from the polls which are recent. We are almost in the same identical position as the Palestinians and the average Israeli as we do not have any statesman that truly represent the people.

This is nonsense.. The Palestinian majority still fully supports Hamas, not Mahmoud Abbas. Abbas is nothing but a U.S. stooge. If you dont believe that Palestine is still in favor of Hamas, go read the news article right here on CBS News that shows the anger and the rage that the people of Palestine are going through as a result of this summit. Go read how the Palestinian people are angrily protesting this summit in their country. - Reply to this comment

.................
I totally agree starleo.
There is just no reasoning with sininrick. No amount of facts will penetrate his thick belief system.
Singinrick is the quintessential example of an American/"christian" version of a Talliban member. Quoting tidbits of scripture that advances his opinion rather than taking the entire scripture in context. - Reply to this comment
- People all around the world have more in common with one another than the politicians of the nations which are supposed to represent the constituents of the various nations would like for anyone to believe. The average Israeli, Palestinian, Chinese, Candadian etc all of share the same basic hopes and aspirations for ourselves and the world as a whole which is peace and prosperity. The "leaders and the corporate/landowners instead would rather keep everyone divided than allow us to to live with respecting one another. When a crisis occurs such as Darfur, or Bangledesh, or 9-11 does not everyones heart bleed for the innocent?

I certainly see your point and I do not understand why Bush will not talk to Hammas, I know Bush calls it a terrorist organization, but as you said they were elected by the Palestinian people and do you think Hamass would sit down and talk? Do you think the election was legal and fair?Do you think Bush is right or wrong ? - Reply to this comment
- Hamas was elected democratically by the people of Palestine. The reason why they are angry is because none of their representatives were invited to this Summit in Maryland and yet it was Hamas that was Democratically elected to represent the people of Palestine. Can you imagine if another country held a gathering like this, and instead of inviting a person from the Bush Administration invited only Al Gore. How would the U.S. feel about that summit? How would Bush and all his reps feel? Not that happy right!!!

- It has been said that we have signed lease agreements with Iraq to establish U.S. bases ( permanent), just as we did in Europe after WWII. The writing is on the wall and the rest of the Middle-Eastern countries are reading it. Time to bring some type of stability to this unstable region.

She cannot get Musharraf to "take off his uniform" although with her I cannot blame him. I would stay fully clothed perhaps put a suit of armour on when she is around. - Reply to this comment
- Don''''t put any money on it folks,,,, Bush ignored them for 7 years & he''''s on his way out, Olmert is blamed by his own people for losing the last war & is under corruption charges, & Abbas who dindn''''t have any power in the PLO now has a target on his back as a collaberator ---- None of the other neighbors were on board.

- No one''s taking this summit seriously.
After 7 years of his bu11shit, we all know this president''s only fully engaged when it benefits his business cronies.
The rest of the time, it''s just political theater.
Anyone remember that spectacular show in Aqaba, Jordan, June 4, 2003 and the Roadmap to Peace?
Wasn''t that a grand event?
And what''s the result?
Zero.
This too will go into history as another event of strutting around and photo ops by the Liar-in-Chief and not much else. - Reply to this comment
- We have through apathy and ignorance allowed the "lapdogs and their masters" bring out world to its current point. It is a scary time, and last night when I read that our commitment to Iraq was going to be "officially long term" think Korea, along with the additional powers this administration has garnered to the executive branch, it made me realize several things, the next president regardless of who it is will expand those powers and then the next till finally there is only a complete shell of a legislation branch. NWO served up, coming to a town near you soon.

- Have you ever read the Hamas charter? They want to destroy Israel through a holy Jihad and call for it in their charter. Sad as the polls demostrate that the people of Israel and the Palestinian territories wasnt the Camp David Accords to become a reality. The entire world minus the politicians and religious leaders want a real peace without the NWO.

I know Hammas wants to destroy Israel and Iran does as well who supports Hammas. That was my question to the Palestinian I wanted to hear what he thinks about all this, I do not think he is going to reply, would have been interesting to hear his thoughts. - Reply to this comment
