I think it''s horrid, absolutely repulsive the way some people (not everyone, of course) are thinking about this matter. This is a litlte girl!! This has nothing to do with politics! She didn''t do ANYTHING wrong, her parents did nothing wrong. It is a very unfortunate mishap; and I am very happy it has been fixed! :)

I sincerely hope this child comes out of the surgery absolutely fine and lives a long, happy life to educate a few who believe in supernaturals.

On the flip side of it, I guess the parents will be looked down for a while by the villagers who strongly believed the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi in the child. But ofcourse, man''s memory being short-lived, it will be forgotten in due time. Hope they realize that the goddess is incarnated in every sweet child of India. One look at their faces will tell it all. Especially those eyes of the children of India they have the true look of the divine in them. Seriously dude, think about what you are saying. I''ll pay for one injection of euthanasia drugs to put her out of her misery and save the rest of the bills for this costly surgery and a lifetime of aftercare and more surgeries for a kid who will be a semi vegetable the rest of her life.

All that money and resources would be BETTER spent and directed towards medical care for 50 or 100 other people who need it and will be fixed or cured, not squandering all this on ONE totally screwed up baby who will never have a normal life anyway.

This is in INDIA, who cares what goes on over there, we live in AMERICA, worry about and spend money/resources on OUR people first.
