Everything in life is a trade-off.
In Pakistan it is simply changing from one corrupt regime (Musharraf) to another (Bhutto).
Again, no matter, the masses will hate the U.S. either way.

Not to worry. The U.S. will back the corrupt Benadir Bhutto who will continue to rape the country for herself and her followers.
See Shah of Iran.
The masses will hate us but Bhutto and company will adore us.

brought to you by the kgb, all part of their
non-nuclear proliferation program. also the
united nations. it is easier for a camel
to get through the eye of a needle than for
a rich man to get into heaven. the pleasures
of poverty are nice. destitution is a step below.
actually the russians and the nazis had nuclear
weapons first but hesitated to use them. and
so they who hesitate are lost. tuff break mr. and
mrs. axis. avis may be number two, but it makes
more money than hurts. isn''t that tooo baaad. sniffles. my heart bleeds for the poor downtrodden
axis powers. chief evening star of the apache
nation dispatched them years and years ago, after
having discovered the underground river from death
valley, ca to malibu, ca. now, leave me alone,
i''m listening to ''blackout'' by spears inc. i need
to hear it 1000 times. the black guy on it calls
emilio largo of ''thunderball'' by ian fleming a hero.
thus the coffers of government are endangered.
nuclear blackmale most fowl. quoth the moor, never

The US is now "reviewing" its aid package to Pakistan. What a joke. The US will continue to support him irregardless. Musharraf was always a dictator. This "spreading democracy" in the middle east is a lot of B.S.

And with the capabilities that Pakistan possesses I sure hope the rest of the world is watching with a little more than casual curiosity.

Why? What exactly is Pakistan gonna do? US and A has tons of nukes, but not much use but creating the danger of blowing yourselves up if they fall off another plane.

The reality of your post 9/11 world is that u.s. and a. and Israel are so creepy, you no longer have the standing to use the good guy bullpoop to ever use one with out one coming back at you. You''ve made the whole earth rotate on an axis of evil.

Anytime a military leader ousts the elected government, it sets up a military dictatorship. Who''s sole purpose is to take the voice of the people away. This guy needs to take an extented vacation. And with the capabilities that Pakistan possesses I sure hope the rest of the world is watching with a little more than casual curiosity.

Absolutely, especially when the ''terrorists'' you''re fighting are your own judicial branch of government who''s power extends principly to quoting your own constitution back at you...

due to the timing of this event in parrallel with musharraf''s personal interests its obvious that he is out for the good of himself rather than the good of his nation. this emergency declaration has nothing to do with terrorist extremist threats and everything to do with musharraf wanting to stay in power. musharraf is not working for the good of his people. he is not interested in democracy or the betterment of pakistan. he is only interested in staying in power. if we let him continue to act this way unchecked pakistan will only suffer more and extremist actions will rise. it is up to president bush to show that he does not approve of musharraf''s actions and will not support this behavior by pulling out support for musharraf and openly stating his disappointment with the pakistani leader''s recent actions.

While this man is quoting our great leaders of OUR nation and not his, how about this quote from Benjamin Franklin:

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

You can''t revoke freedoms and democracy when you are fighting extremists and terrorists; otherwise, you become no better than what you are fighting against.

...in one or more holding cells in Gitmo.

This is twice in the last two days I have noticed a abnormality to Zoots post which I rarely am in agreement with. Zoot is sounding as if he has taken one two many trips or is currently taking ecstasy to add to his already deranged point of view. Zoot seek medical attention, you are sounding more like one of Bush supporters than the muslim that you are.

And think we are worried about the nukes Iran "might" have in a few years when Pakistan has the *** weapons and Bin Laden is a resident.

I don''t know if to laugh or cry.

Honestly... if there''s even a shred of truth to GW''s claim that he''s trying to ''promote democracy'' in the Middle East... now''s the time to ''put up or shut up''. A generalissimo just shut down his democracy because he didn''t like his judicial branch of government, which notably was of the opinion that he''d hijacked their democracy for long enough (7yrs).

Whats our ''world''s foremost defender of democracy'' got to say about THAT?!!! GW, if you believe in democracy in the Middle East your next steps are CLEAR...

Send this tin-horn dictator packing like you did Saddam, and the Middle East may just begin believing that you''re serious and honest about promoting democracy there. FAIL AT THIS, and history will record your failure, and know your duplicity...

It''s really up to you, Mr. ''preemptive strategy''...

Gen. Pervez Musharraf said: "Inaction at this moment is suicide to Pakistan and I cannot allow this country to commit suicide."

Good words. We can expect GW to proclaim similar sentiments sometime between now and 2009.

Note that Pervez is saving the country from its Supreme Court... a dire threat in ANY country if there ever was one...
