I wouldn''t expect the Administration to do anything more than throw some words around in public.

Their support of "democracy" is limited to using the concept as a foil used to justify offensive actions.

It''s between Musharaf or Al Qaeda.

I''ll take Musharaf any time, just like I would take Saddam any time over those islamists.

Good thing there''s no oil in Pakistan, otherwise this would be the perfect pretext for Bush and Cheney to start finding Niger yellow cake and invade the country too.

cburn665 - "People let''''s regain the spirit if those brave men and women of the Boston Tea Party and take back our government."
Yeah, and they''ll microwave your ***. This is a different world we live in, just wait until we''re debating on whether or not the government has the right to scan your thoughts and memories...
and we lose. Just chipping away at that freedom, "I''ve got nothing to hide", give a little, give a little, give a little, "but if it keeps us safe". We all know where it''s going, it''s human nature. CONTROL ALL!!!

BACK DOOR POLITICS, OR JUST MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO?

ANYONE SEE A PATTERN HERE,

SEEMS THAT THE POWER HUNGRY LEADERS OF THE WORLD, SEE TO BE TWISTING, OR DOWN RIGHT BREAKING THE LAWS, IN ORDER NOT TO GIVE UP THEIR POWER.

FIRST MR PUTIN, OF THE GOOD OLE USSR, MADE SURE THAT HE WILL STILL HAVE THE POWER HAMMER WELL AFTER HE HAS LEFT OFFICE.

CASTRO APPOINTS HIS BROTHER TO GOVERNED HIS COUNTRY, WHILE HE IS DOWN WITH THE CRUD.

CHAVEZ IS TRYING TO CHANGE HIS COUNTRIES CONSTITUTION SO HE CAN REMAIN IN POWER.

DO YOU WONDER WHO MIGHT BE NEXT?

SOUNDS LIKE A POWER PLAY BY KING GEORGE, MIGHT BE IN ORDER.....

STAY THE COURSE....

"Authorities rounded up opposition leaders Sunday after military ruler Gen. Pervez Musharraf suspended Pakistan''s constitution . . "

and this is what John McCain preaches: there is nothing like a nation with a leader that has military experience.
Pakistan can now enjoy being their new found independence thanks to this man that is sooo closely tied to the mlitary machine.
Meaning of Pakistan? Worthless Hellhole of the world.

This good friend of BUSH won''''t let power go. Such a subjective excuse --that to stop his dictatorship would mean suicide for Pakistan-- is amusing, to say the least.

And while claiming that the motive is based in terrorism and lawlessness, those being arrested aren''t terrorists or lawbreakers. They are political opponents, the press, and attorneys.

What I find ludicrous is the adminstrations reactions to Musharraf and Chavez for doing exactly the same thing.

Bush even made an anti-Chavez trip last March.

Yet all that comes out of the White House regarding this is a "call for restraint".

Ridiculous.

and now, these people have a nuclear arsenal; What about the sleeping ,COMMUNIST, I must add. Oh, if in case you forgot, I am referring to (The People''s
Republic of CHINA) who will own the rest of US''s debt eventually controlling the markets completely.

And, President Bush wants us to worry about Iran? It''s abusrd to think of the amount of people who have bought into the enormous lie. Oh, but, that''s right, the president is only looking out for our future in the oil-rich middle East. This proves how much effort is being made to wean the U.S. off fossil fuel. What a joke?

Look at the all the lives lost in Iraq. It amazes me how most of the American parents of the deceased servicemen and women continue to support this big farce.

No matter who the next president is, our dependency on almighty oil will never change.

People let''s regain the spirit if those brave men and women of the Boston Tea Party and take back our government.

Carter and Company dumped the Shah he didn''t fit their moral model and we ended up with the situation that we have in Iran.

Posted by jowand at 05:55 AM : Nov 04, 2007

Better check those facts jowand - it was the Iranians that dumped the Shah of Iran - not Jimmy Carter - the US government saw it coming and tried not to fan the flames. The Shah was placed in power by Eisenhower and the CIA in a staged overthrow of a democratic government - check Operation Ajax.

abbe says ''Musharraf is right''... Spoken like a true fascist.

Cheney/Bush LIED us into this War with fake stories about WMDs and and links between Saddam and Al-Qaeda. They exploited 911 fear with their fake color-coded terror alerts. Hitler would have envied their media propaganda. Just like good little Nazis, you bought the LIES, the War Hype, the Shock and Awe, the power of pride, and all the rest of the war monger sh*t.

Now after a couple hundred thousand DEAD Iraqis, cities in ruins, 3,800 dead troops, thousands more wounded, Abu Gharib, rendition, torture, warrantless wiretaps, $500 BILLION wasted... you want to celebrate since "only" 39 US soldiers died in October.

You pathetic idiots never learn. Of course Bush/Cheney couldn''''t care a rats a*s*s about the death and destruction. The war has been a great business for them. The rich got their massive tax cuts,Haliburton and the Blackwater civilian killers have made their billions.

The NeoCon strategy was always to kill as many as it takes, the OIL will still be there and so will our permanent US military bases. Then their idiot followers will declare ''''victory'''' and drive their Hummers around with ''''God Bless America'''' bumper stickers.

But all the Oil and fake patriotism will NEVER excuse the Cheney Bush War Crime of LYING us into Iraq and killing a couple hundred thousand Iraqis. The Bush/Cheney ''''shock and awe'''' terror makes Osama look like a small time terrorist. This is blood on your hands that won''''t wash away.
