DNA Pioneer James Watson "Mortified" He's Quoted As Saying Africans Are Less Intelligent

It is NOT a no-brainer (except to Archie Bunker.)
Human ability and talent comes in individually wrapped packages.
Trying to generalize it into sweeping racial generalizations, doesn"t speak well of your IQ. - Reply to this comment

You don"t need to be a great painter to survive.
Back in the days of the Roman Empire there were a number of great mathematicians and engineers.
Were any of them English ?
No.
If you have lived then, you would have concluded that the people of the British Isles were an "inferior race."
You"d be wrong then, and you"re wrong now.

5.African Americans"

What you have really listed here is the order by STUDY HABITS and EDUCATIONAL DISCIPLINE.
Groups that are trained to hit the books from an early age, are going to do well academically, as a group.

- RE: "Cro Magnon Man and Neanderthal Man were different species, but all modern human beings are members of the same species, "H*omo Sapiens," and the SAME SUBSPECIES: "H*omo Sapiens Sapiens."
The Neanderthals were in the same Genus ("H*omo", as the Cro-Magnons, but they were in their own species, "H*omo Neanderthalensis."
That is certainly not the case for every modern race of humans. All are in the only existing subspecies of the only genus of Humans:
"H*omo Sapiens Sapiens"
We are ALL in that subspecies. (Even George Bush.) - Reply to this comment

This is pointed out in response to Klingon69"s statement "Yes blacks, whites, asian, arabic...etc are all different sub-species. (google sub-species)"
As if that "proved" it, that if some "information" could be obtained through Google, it must be correct.
I find that extremely naive.

This is what happens when you Google naively and indiscriminantly, without regard to Google"s own Terms of Service statement, in which they point out that they cannot be held accountable for the inaccuracy of the information you obtain from some off-the-wall White Supremacist website.

Cro Magnon Man and Neanderthal Man were different species, but all modern human beings are members of the same species, "H*omo Sapiens," and the SAME SUBSPECIES: "H*omo Sapiens Sapiens."
From the Smithsonian Institute:
"The scientific study of human evolution encompasses the development of the genus H*omo, but usually involves studying other h*ominids and h*ominines as well, such as Australopithecus. "Modern humans" are defined as the H*omo sapiens species, of which the only extant subspecies is H*omo sapiens sapiens; H*omo sapiens idaltu (roughly translated as "elder wise man"), the other known subspecies, is extinct. Anatomically modern humans appear in the fossil record in Africa about 130,000 years ago."[**]

- BTW, McVett,
Was that an attempt at humor? If one is to study language and the evolution of it, one would learn that there is a genetic basis for one''s language/vernacular. People of African & Latin decent tend to speak to a rhythm, much akin to their native tongues. Even Latin was spoken with a rhythm. English entered into the picture and is an amalgam of several languages and thus has no rhythm or beat, so to speak. There are no ellisions, no conjugations, no declinsions--just a language of memorization. Hence, making English one of the toughest languages to command. This is certainly not to excuse the use of "proper" English--if there is such a thing seeing has how the British frown upon American "English", however, there is an evolutionary cause for colloquialisms---Bruh! - Reply to this comment
- This scientist''s conclusions are nothing new. He is postering hypotheses set forth in The Bell Curve. It is an interesting book, really, though, hogwash it is. There are enough minds of proof to the contrary (e.g. Ben Carson, WEB Dubois, George Washington Carver, Carter G. Woodson, Dr. Charles Drew) the list goes on really. Thus, anyone giving credence to his "scientific propositions" is an imbecile.
