The presence of blood doesn''t indicate murder.

I just can''t believe CBS is allowing oakishpines to keep going and going with this ridiculous behaviour. COME ON CBS, BAN THEM. Your rules say that people can''t interfere with other people''s enjoyment of the site but Oakishpines is REDUCING MY ENJOYMENT DRAMATICALLY.

BAN, BAN, BAN, BAN, BAN THEM CBS. It really doesn''t reflect well on you when you allow this to go on on your site. THe site doesn''t look at all respectable with this Oakishpines *** being left there, but obviously nothign is going to be done, DESPITE THE NUISANCE POSTS BEING REPORTED AGAIN AND AGAIN.

oakishpines is a nutcase. His/her posts never make sense. I think that he/she does it just for attention. As soon as I see that name I just skip over it, I don''t waste my time reading them anymore.

When this case first hit the press, this woman swore up and down that she would NEVER leave Portugal without her daughter, one way or the other, even if she had to live there the rest of her life searching.

Funny how THAT oath went flying out the window, huh?

What baffles me the most about this case is that people like J.K Rowling and David Beckham would openly support a couple who left a 4 year old to babysit twin 2 year olds. Children go missing all the time, why aren''t these celebrities putting their mouth and money toward causes that help ALL missing children, rather than this incredible example of selfish and stupid parents?

(BTW, the claims that they checked on the children "frequently" somehow emerged later. When this story broke, it was said that the kids were left alone for a little less than 2 hours.)

Gee, what a surprise, they''re suddenly leaving Portugal after being named suspects.

THEY''RE RUNNING!

Portugal should block their visas ... Lock these criminals up!

Is this story in the news because these people are Brits and white? I don''t get it. People go missing all the time, in every country on earth. Why is this story given any airing at all???

They didn''t seem to be in too much of a hurry to go home before and now they are? Not the right kind of attention they were looking for I guess.

I think what they are saying is that they figure that the parents hid the body and then when they rented the vehicle, they then got rid of it. Of course the question then is where would they have hid it for 25 days?

If the evidence lies with DNA blood traces from a car the couple rented 25 days AFTER their daughter disappeared, shouldn''t police be looking at who rented and had the car before this couple? Maybe like....who had the car at the time that the baby was taken or immediately after she disappeared. If the couple did not have the car until after their daughter was missing, it would appear there is not a large pool of rental cars in that area---but it would also mean that the parents are not the suspects more so than they now have the goulish experience of possibly riding in a car that the murdered also used. Lots of IFs here--but if what each side is saying is so---there are more questions here than answers. I despair of any missing or murder case to happen overseas. From Aruba to Portugal, they seem not to have either the resources, acumen or experience to thoroughly investigate or interrogate. Sort of like Keystone Cops for resorts--in Action.

I wonder if the police have checked all the people who were in the hotel at the time of the disappearance. Either someone who worked there and had a key noticed the parents out without the kids and abducted the child, or the child simply let herself out of the room and ran into the wrong person - either way, focusing on the parents seems like a last ditch attempt to close the case and make all the bad publicity go away.

I doubt the parents are guilty of anything but stupidity. It may be SOP to leave small children alone in England, but it seems just plain dumb to continue that practice in a foreign country.

If the authorities took a look in one of my vehicles (Think Steve Martin''''s "Cheaper by the dozen")they probably would find some of the kids blood from their back seat spats.

The blood was not in the parents'' vehicle. It was in a car rented 25 days after the supposed abduction. Hardly the same scenario.
