BIG QUESTION.

Where has it ever been approved for the U.N. to transport chemical weapons material INTO the United States without our being told about it?

What else is the U.N. keeping in hiding in New York City that we Americans do not know about? High explosive? Radioactive material? Actual nuclear devices?

What is the U.N. hiding from us and the world?

What am I supposed to be alarmed or surprised about?

your position on the subject at hand requires you to be at least alarmed at the stalling of weapon inspectors. remember, saddam had WMDs that he was hiding. the stalling of inspectors had to "alarm" you, because this is the basis for an invasion to you.
to be clear, i can see how it would not "suprise " you but how can you say it did not "alarm'' you?

Hmmm, I do remember that he DID share some things. One of which, they intercepted and inspected some boats going into the country that had all the ingredients for making nuclear weapons. BUT they were not allowed to stop them so they were allowed to continue on.

as for who is an idiot, you think that saddam stalling inspectors is a justification for an invasion and subsequent occupation of an entire country. that makes you a pig. oink oink.
it also makes you MORE of an idiot than me, because by your own admission you hold the position that even if he had WMDs, he was not planning to take action against the U.S.
thereby not constituting a classification as an immediate threat to the national security of the united states, yet you still support a war that has killed 3700 americans.

"Why are you so alarmed or surprised?" posted by j-whitman

I am neither alarmed or surprised. What am I supposed to be alarmed or surprised about?

Do you like talking out of your a-s-s?

Where is that statement coming from? You don''t make any sense. What is the matter couldn''t find anything to say? Sometimes it is better to say nothing than to make yourself look like an a-s-s.

the paranoia hat you exhibit about saddam and his weapons begs a conclusion that you expect him to take some action against the U.S.. otherwise, where is the immediate threat to our security?

as for fact 1, yes he stalled, and the evidence suggests that his reasons for this was for his capabilities not to be exposed to Iran. right or wrong, this makes more since than what your inference suggests, that he was hiding the weapons from the U.S. possibly to take action against us.

fact 2 the iraqi weapons program was very extensive at one point in time, the extensions had a legitimate purpose, to give him time to gather info on what he had and where. this makes sense when we move to ...

FACT 3, he DID hand over many, many tons of WMDs.
the inspectors took into possesion LOTS of WMDs.

as disgusting as saddam was, he was not a stupid man. he had waged an 8 year war on his neighbor and major power in his locale, using chemical weapons.
this fact seems to escape most people when they discuss this issue, is iran knew for a fact his military capabilities, his rule over his state would be in jeapordy.
I''m sure this was not an option with him, so he took measures to conceal at least SOME aspects of his capabilities.

erasmus6,

Repeating your stupidity will never make it true, and it only leaves you looking ever-more stupid.

I think we do have something in common, we both do not like Bush. But the difference between us is that YOU let your HATRED cloud the actual facts. I do not.

Read up. Your assertions have already been thoroughly debunked and ridiculed on this thread, by people who posess the critical thinking skills that you are lacking.

The UN allowed Sadam to steal billions with the oil for food program

The UN inspectors stated Sadam didn''t have any weapons of mass destruction.

FACT#1: Saddam stalled the inspectors.

FACT#2: The inspectors gave him MANY extensions.

FACT#3: If he wanted to get rid of any weapons,
it gave him more than enough time to do
so.

Do you actually read the posts?

I have NEVER said that I thought that Saddam was planning on bombing the United States.

Now this is an OPINION: I think you are an idiot.
