the good that we've done by bringing freedom to these backwards countries.

Posted by prowest210

Choke-choke - what countries are you referring to? Post WWII please?

Vietnam? Chile? Nicaragua? Iran? No, in Iran we chased out the democratically elected government and put the Shah in, as we did in Chile. What about Haiti?

Maybe you refer to Iraq, where had elections! And now we have a civil war.....or Afghanistan, yes, that's it - Kabul is free! But the rest belongs to the Taliban and warloards because we jumped ship.

Maybe you refer to the Eastern european countries?
Did we free them?

I think you're in fantasy world where our American Dream has been mothballed.

Even when CBS calls it irrefutable proof, the losers here at leftwing central refuse to acknowledge the truth??? Why? Because there will never be any justification for offense by the left when fighting Americas enemies

Credibility, once lost, is very difficult to regain.

That's why we don't trust democrats

In thw words of Ronald Reagan: "Here you go again!"

The problem is, whenever the administration starts using words like "irrefutable proof", we all must start wondering...is this just another pack of lies in order to support another "pre-emptive war?"

Credibility, once lost, is very difficult to regain.

overall, don't have the SLIGHTEST idea of what really goes on within governments.

isn't that the truth - why haven't really the slightest idea what are own government is up to.

last week Sen. Levin was in confirmation hearings with Gen. Luth, the new presidential war on terror czar (c-span).

Levis asked: General do you have any information about the planning for long-term military bases in Iraq?

General: No sir, I don't. But that does not seem to be a part of our policy there, to my understanding.

Levin: General, if have any information about this, would you mind letting me know?

Imagine that! Our own senior Senators, our representatives, do not know what, if anything, the executive branch is planning!

So, right you are, we haven't any idea what's going down.

infidel_us and other right wing extremists:

It is obvious that the case for some kind of action is being made for something that has already been decided about some kind of an attack on Iran. This time the administration is using various little messages from here and there to set the stage and drum up support. That way the President and Vice President can't be accused of deceiving the American people.

This article is just about one of those little messages.

If you are able, it might be a good idea to read "The Assault On Reason" and know that everyone knows already about the policies of this administration. The truth is out. So, your Eloquent B.S. is baseless and without merit.

Since so many of you have the 100% right answer, all the time, every time, have never lied, and hate every lie or liar, why the he11 aren't you in charge of the country and saving us all?

George H. W. Bush was interviewed on tv a while back, and he criticized the New York Times saying, "They've never had a positive thing to say about my son. They just treat him unfairly." The reason they've never said anything positive about him, is because he's never done anything positive for this country. He's a very loyal person to his friends, allies, politicians, and big businessmen. But note that the American population as a whole is missing from that list.

Hey muslims/liberals, you don't have to work so hard trying to break our will to fight against the evil you defend-it seems you've already succeeded.

The West is doing nothing but sitting on its hands while our enemies continue to kill our soldiers and undo all the good that we've done by bringing freedom to these backwards countries.

Now a strong US president would actually ratchet up the fighting and crush all its enemies but we have pusies in power who cave to the weak and cowardly (democrats).

I won't count us out yet-but so far evil in the form of Islamic terrorism and Iran is getting the upper hand. Hopefully our leaders will come to their senses-or this war will be that much longer and harder to win.

The United States has "irrefutable" evidence ...

Anyone remember Powells "irrefutable", confirmed by multiple sources intel ?

This is neocon hogwash but as the administration has already confirmed they will not attack iran, we can relax.

Or is this still a constitutional democracy?

"That's because Iraq was launching terror attacks against Israel. Yes indeed, they were sponsoring terrorism - but not against the US. They were never a threat to us, and not a single terrorist that ever attacked America came from Iraq, nor did they have the support of the Iraqi government."

And you honestly believe they didn't support actions against western interests as well?

We have the luxury of playing armchair general and saying what "we" think would be best for the entire world, however, we, overall, don't have the SLIGHTEST idea of what really goes on within governments. Sure, we have opinions, and we catch stuff here and there, but we don't know 1/1000th of the stuff they do I'm sure. All I know is: Islam hates non-islamists and wants to kill and torture those who don't fall in line; the U.S. is STILL the best country I've been to (been to over 100); and I'm no politician.

Since so many of you have the 100% right answer, all the time, every time, have never lied, and hate every lie or liar, why the he11 aren't you in charge of the country and saving us all?

in that case, we have nothing to discuss.

You're right...we don't. So you keep apologizing for terrorists and being ashamed to be an American, and I'll keep doing what I think is right - fighting liberals.

Libs are the best support network terrorists have!

"You %u2014 the West %u2014 have to know that your resolutions will not be worth a red cent for the Iranian nation," added Ahmadinejad.

It must be nice to be energy independent.

Also, didn't we have "irrefutable" proof that Iraq had WMD's?

captured our people, and held them hostage for 444 days while Jimmah Carter did nothing.

wrong hombre - no americans hostages died.

you might admit that there is a little difference between holding people for 444 days and

staging a proxy war using iraq and getting 1 million people killed for NOTHING except to have our Nation looked on as the paymaster of thug regimes.

or maybe 1 million dead people in the ME doesn't mean much to you. in that case, we have nothing to discuss.

The USA under a Republican President armed the Taliban. Not only did Reagan send arms to the Afghani Mujahadeen, he secretly, illegally sold Stinger missiles to Iran. So now Iran transfers those Reagan missiles to the Taliban, and they are used against US troops.

QED: Reagan, and his oath-breaking officer lackey Ollie North, are traitors.

Now the Fascists are desperate to hold power in the upcoming election. Iran has no nuclear weapons, the USA has some 10,000 nukes.

What are the odds, if a nuclear weapon is detonated in the USA that it came from another traitorous military officer in league with the Fascists? Time to burn the Reichstag!

You are quoting a 15 year old speech - what is the relevance?

Oh, is that how dailykoz is telling you how to sluff it off? Nice try. Not gonna be that easy. And if you aren't smart enough to figure out the bias, just go back to sleep.

As for being afraid that Iran will bomb your city in retaliation neoconRcrazy, that is insane!

Posted by Pavlos2

I didn't say iran would bomb my city! I said when the pay-back comes...

when OBL listed his reasons for declaring war with us, some the many were;
- US troops stationed in islamic countries
- israeli occupation of palestine and US complicity
- etc

attacking iran just because this administration thinks it's the good thing to do will give yet another reason for all the jihad groups world-wide to react.

As Churchhill said; to jaw-jaw is always better then to war-war
