- Great. Another Clinton accomplishment Bush can take credit for.
Bush would never have committed U.S. military power to end the genocide of ethic Albanians. That's WAY too 'bleeding-heart' for him. - Reply to this comment
- "In 1997 widespread riots erupted after the International Monetary Fund forced the state to liberalise banking practices. Many citizens, naive to the workings of a market economy, put their entire savings into pyramid schemes. In a short while, $2 billion (80% of the country's GDP) had been moved into the hands of just a few pyramid scheme owners, causing severe economic troubles and civic unrest. Police stations and military bases were looted of millions of Kalashnikovs and other weapons. Anarchy prevailed,[4] and militia and even less-organized armed citizens controlled many cities. Even American military advisors left the country for their own safety." from Wikipedia

- ALERT Important Facts about Kosovo Illyria Albania First of all to make something clear Abanian people by respecting the american president are trying to respect what he represents he respresents America as a nation as a country who represent freedom, democracy.Anyway another reason Albania is grateful to USA is that when the War World One ended America or better say President Wilson back then was the one who stoped Albanian infidels neighbors from taking more land from Albania from what they already took Albania it may be a 70% Muslim 20%Albanian Orthodox and 10% Catholics but all our religions live in peace we all celebrate our religions holidays, all together. Our women dont cover their faces they are drop dead gorgeous Albania gave birth to one of the most famous catholic Figures (mother Theresa) and she was born in a city whose majority was and still is Muslim Albanian And by these facts no one cant compare us to other muslim countrys. And for all the Serbians who still live with the dream that they teach them in those brainwashing russian slavic churches all around Serbia that Kosovo is their historical homeland and will never get Independent all I wanna say is keep dreaming.Kosovars,Albanians in the Balkan peninusla are descentants of Illyrians thats why they are called ethnic Albanians because they are ethnic in that land(illyria is one of the oldest empire in the world even before greeks and roman empires and of course surely before serbia.

I never expected to defend lars008 but, in fairness DoD directive 1325.6 "Section 3.5.7. Grievances. . . . (reference (b)). In addition, a member may petition or present any grievance to any Member of Congress or an Inspector General under 10 U.S.C. 1034 (reference (e))" is the section under which the REAL petition for redress of grievances. The redress they are seeking is getting our troops out of Iraq.
The neocons want to keep our troops in Iraq's civil war and use the term "redress of grievances" in their petition's title in a disingenuous attempt to mislead. It's only a slight improvement over the blatant lies that got us into the war. It's a vile attempt to mislead our military to get their signatures on a petition that isn't what the title proclaims. They aren't asking for redress of a grievance, they have no grievance. The redress they seek is doing nothing to maintain the status quo.
The use of deception to obtain the signatures of our military is another in a long line of Walter Reed-type abuses of our troops. People like lars still shamelessly dare to claim they support our troops. - Reply to this comment
- Jebby,,,, Glad you mentioned Syria -- You notice all the educated Iraqi refugees say that's the ideal place for them to go instead of the USA ?? -- Why do you think that is ???

- "no to turkey for eu membership and kick them out of nato..."
Turkey was our toughest ally in the Korean War.
If you had your way, lars008, America's one and only friend in the Middle East would be Israel.
That would be good for Israel, bad for America.

- It's not really surprising that Bush is getting big welcomings in countries that were once run by petty communist dictators. After all Bush is one himself and I'm sure that for the folks in easter Europe, it brings back "fond" memories of when places like Poland and Albania were run by their own brand of neocon Bushism. Maybe we will get lucky and he will like Albania so much he will decide to stay there! Since they are printing stamps and coins with Bush on them, I would think he has to be thinking he is getting more respect over there than he is over here!

- If Albania loves him so much, maybe he should do us all a favor - resign as President and move there. Who knows, maybe they'll rename a city to Crawford, Albania where he can spend his 4 months a year on vacation.

- "Bush receives hero's welcome in Albania"
"Huge banners proclaimed "Proud to be Partners," and billboards read "President Bush in Albania Making History." Red-white-and-blue paper top hats with stars on top were passed out to well-wishers in this Balkan nation."
There are some parts of the world where Bush is not well known.
In the civilized world it's a different story...
ROME (Reuters) - Demonstrators clashed with police in central Rome on Saturday as U.S. President George W. Bush wound up a visit to Pope Benedict and Italian leaders.
Hours after Bush had discussed Middle East peace with Pope Benedict and was wrapping up meetings with Italian politicians, police in riot gear charged and fired tear gas at demonstrators who had thrown bottles at them in Rome's historic centre.
The protestors, some wearing motorcycle helmets and bandanas to cover their faces, shattered a window of a bank and overturned outdoor dining tables on some of Rome's most famous streets.
Several policemen and demonstrators were injured. - Reply to this comment

don't reward fascist nazi islamic muslim murdering terrorists... send them to hell...
Slobodan Milosevic
It was during those early visits - two in the same week - that Milosevic rocketed to national prominence in a communist federal Yugoslavia buckling under nationalist tensions. He mesmerised the mob by assuring the minority Serbs in the ethnic Albanian province that no one would ever "beat them" again. Milosevic had already installed key aides in control of Serbian national television, and the footage of his speeches electrified Serbia. Milosevic himself, until then a dour and orthodox communist, appeared to realise his gift for rhetoric and the power of nationalism. He never looked back.
