I think it is a total waste of national resources because we all know what will happen if there is a nuclear war. The results are well known and documented. There cannot be a "winner." I am surprised that the Russians have enough money to spend on building a nuclear missile system...probably all the money coming in from oil and natural gas. I am not surprised with Putin's position, because the Russians have helped Iran get where they are with nuclear knowledge. What surprises me is that the Russians, who long have been known for hating Islam, are helping an Iran. Why Russia would want to help a crazy state like Iran gain membership into the nuclear club is beyond me. The only thing that makes sense, is that they figure it will enhance their own position of power to do so (in some way). I know one thing, Iran and Russia have in common, they both hate the Jews. So with this mentally ill sickness in common between them, I am not entirely surprised.
No matter how insane both these countries act, I think they BOTH know better than to start a nuclear war. If they do, its their death as well. Better to be a beligerant bully alive, than a dead corpse in a dead world. Russia: Find something else to do with your money.

Arming countries don't inspire security with their neighbors. The Russians are telling us that our defense planners have taken arming efforts into an alarming direction. If we don't listen to Russia, who will we listen to? This is a sign of a potentially bigger political crisis than Iraq. The Europeans don't want Russian missiles aimed at them and the Europeans will not squelch out anti-American feelings. Maybe the Europeans will gain our attention and promote disarming. If we are going to let intelligence experts get in front of a camera and tell us about our new "Boogieman", and attempt to justify arming with new missile deployments in Europe, I'm afraid not too many people will hear them.
