Hizbullah for what is left of your brain cell's info, was and is Syria and Iran's proxy in Lebanon. All of the Christian militias were disarmed after Syria's brutal occupation of Lebanon in October 1990 - however they kept one intact - Hizbullah. Why? Because Nasrallah would constantly do their bidding.

The Lebanese Army was too weak and the government too afraid of Syria to do anything about it. However most Lebanese are grateful that Israel gave it a drubbing last year - they only wish it was permanent.

The Lebanese casualties were mostly civilians, because this is what was primarily targetted by the Israelis, including the 4 U.N. civilian observers which were knowingly and intentionally executed by the Israelis.

Why should they? The Israelis have still not released the thousands of Arab prisoners, sitting in their jails, incluiding children, without any due process.
