Al-Aqsa TV and the Palestinian Authority have been under fire since PMW reported last week that Tomorrow%u2019s Pioneers was using a character named Farfur, a knockoff of Disney%u2019s Mickey Mouse character, to convey messages about Islamic supremacy as well as hatred of Jews, Israel and the U.S. Despite public statements by PA Minister of Information Mustafa Barghouti that the show would be taken off the air until it could be reviewed and revised, a new episode of the program %u2013 featuring Al-Sha%u2019arawi as one of the hosts %u2013 ran Friday.

- Taking arab occupied land and creating the "state" of Israel was obviously a bad idea - not because I say so, but because all the other people in the Middle East say so and remain in a state of war, hot or cold, with the "state" even now, 60 years later. You don't fight over a good idea for 60 years. Why the United States remains committed to a such a terrible and unjust decision, I cannot imagine, except to say that large amounts of money flow into American politicians' pockets to secure votes for the "state" and fulfill their every need. We today reap the returns of our support for this international mistake, in the hatred of large numbers of the world's people. Why we think the arabs should just "get over it" - again, I can't imagine. Americans think the issue is settled - but as arab power grows and Islamic states modernize, this basic injustice continues to fester. They have never accepted the current state of affairs, and never will. The Bush Administration, far from doing ANYTHING to address this injustice, has done quite the opposite, invading another arab state hoping to create an Israeli ally at gunpoint. We have only thrown down our mask of neutrality, adopting the Israeli model of full spectrum domination. We are the foreign body in the arab immune system, and we shall draw all the antibodies they can muster. Until we can understand this, things will never change.
