The fact remains that Ahmadinejab has not threatened Jews, he wants to see Israel decertified as a nation, i.e., "wiped off the map."

Which is hardly equivalent to "wants to kill Jews".

You might be right if Iran was developing its nuclear power under the watchful eye of the IAEA, but its not! No one has any idea what Iran is doing with its nuclear program!! This is the problem! You trust Iran without IAEA oversight? No one else does!

Nazis did not come anywhere close to "wiping out Jews." Nazis were Zionists and they actively helped Zionist Jews invade Palestine. While at the same time, eliminating their opponents, non-Zionist Jews.

Israelis need to study their history a little better if they seriously believe Adolf Hitler was attempting to "wipe out Jews." Adolf Hitler is the primary sponsor of Israel.

There are more similarities between any Israeli Prime Minister and Adolf Hitler than there is between Ahmadinejab and Hitler.

Ahmadinejabe wants to eliminate Israel, not Jews; Hitler wanted to eliminate Jews who opposed Israel. (and did a pretty good job of it)

The threat to Iran does not come from the U.S., it comes from a "paranoid" Israel. No matter your politics towards Israel, you have to look at this Iranian threat from an Israeli perspective. The Jews were almost wiped out by the Nazi's, and Ahmadinejad is threatening to wipe them out again and Hezzbolla fired hundreds of rockets into Israeli cities and the world basically did nothing! Israel's over reactive response to the Hezzbolla rocket attack, completely destroying Lebanon shows just how on edge and paranoid Israel is! The world needs to be beating a path to Irans door asking it to reconsider uranium enrichment because if the Israeli's think they world will do nothing to stop Iran, Israel will and at any price, even if its planes can't make it back home!

That is the whole problem as I see it, The Islamic clerics believe that if they can provoke the Infidel into making this a "Holy War' the Allah will make his appearance and end the existance of all Infidel (US) in otherwords, they are trying to force the hand of their God against us just like the Christian rightwing is trying to do. Ahmadinejad and the hardliners did poorly in the last Iranian elections, so that is probably exactly what he is hoping for - a nation-unifying event like an attack against Iran.

Speaking of crazies, Chavez is probably hoping for the same thing. He did better in Venezuela elections than Ahmadinejad's hardliners did in Irans' (assuming no voting shenanagans were going on) but his hold onm power isn't guaranteed.

This is true and I have no problems with tough responses. In fact, tough responses are a preferred solution. But there's "smart tough" like Kennedy and his Cuban Crisis handling (and even Bush and his initial Afghanistan policy if you want to go there). But then there's "dumb tough" like Bush and Iraq. Monumental dumb. And even Bush's initial Afghanistan triumph could turn to dumb if Bush comtinues to ignore Afghanistan in favor of the Iraq disaster.

Nope, but our belief and faith in the great potential of this country that has been belittled, degraded, and betrayed by Bush will see us through because he will not president much longer and then we will see the return of America as it was meant to be and that will see us through the nuclear fallout.

That America is one of strong beliefs, convictions, unity, strength, and humanity for all and carries the strong will of the people behind it and not the fortune-seeking greed of one man.

I totally agree with you, but what bothers me about Iran is if I were Iran I would develop my nukes quietly and keep my mouth shut! Ahmadinejad is so arrogant and "in your face" with his arrogance he shouts his intentions to the world and he forgets he is threatening an enemy that already has nukes! How stupid is that? With all due respect; We are here today because Kennedy said, "No farther, NO NUKES IN CUBA!!!" He meant it and Russia knew it. I went to bed that night prepared 'not' to wake up, but hoping against hope that 'push wouldn't come to shove'. I am still prepared 'not' to wake up if that is what it takes....
