2. Racist/discriminatory remarks have no merit nor do they gain any respect from any intelligent readers of this thread.

3. Bravo Nancy!!! It is about time that someone defies Bush's lack of diplomacy and unwillingness to really look for a resolution that will work to resolve these issues.

Our "enemies" if we could clearly define them - will always be our enemies if we do not demonstrate the capacity to have a win-win ending to all of this.

Saving "face" - allowing pride to obstruct any peace as we pound on our breasts to show who the BIG BAD POWER is does not do anything to extinguish the venom that comes from the middle east and other countries around the world who we look down on so much.

It is time for us to stand up and take responsibility for our wrongs and work with the others to come to a solution that will make the majority on all sides feel that their main concerns have been addressed.

I would have thought that Ms. Pelosi would at least have shown some respect for the culture of Saudi Arabia by wearing at least a long skirt instead of a pants suit. But is she trying to make the Arabs think she is more mannish then anything else?? And doesn't she know that in Saudi Arabia the women are nothing and do not have any rights?? It is a man only run kingdom and women are not allowed even to vote. Ms. Pelosi might be Speaker of the House of Representatives but she is not a diplomat in any sense of the word. So, what is she doing in the Middle East to begin with??

Rice and even Cheney are openly chastised in the middle east and in politer society the "gentle reminders" on how diplomacy should work have been ignored by this President.

The result is growing isolation by many of the countries we once could count on.

I'd recommend reading the old book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" but obviously, I'm not in a position to do so.
The best I can do is try to teach some of the next generation how real diplomacy works and pray for a miracle to save our Constitution and Economy; both of which have suffered severely in the past 6 years.

Some body needs to inform Mrs Pelosi that she was not elected as President of the United States, she was not elected to run the State Department, nor does she have the right to negotiate for the United States.

I think Pelosi and Reid have gradoise ideas on there rolls in the house and senate.
