- thank you cjhr43:
you are right.
religon does not cause the problems,it is the people inciting the issue at hand.
honestly, no reason why people of different faiths cannot learn to coexist together.

Right on... religion itself does not cause issues. INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION and forcing others to accept your beliefs is what causes issues. - Reply to this comment
- i agree:
an atheist earlier said if religon was no obstacle we would have no conflicts.
but i think there would still be problems, extremeists would want us to accept their religon and other things too.
i personally am a happy catholic.
but to each their own, where ever you find your happiness is good for me. - Reply to this comment
- Having no religion in a short lifetime may work for some... but no thanks. My God, IS God and life in the hereafter can only be gained by His intervention using His "Intelligent Design". The real losers are those who actually believe that everything in the universe came about by "accident". If natural selection theories were correct then man would have sprouted wings by now because he wishes it so.

- no that still would not work.
extremeists would still come after us for not worshipping their G-d. - Reply to this comment
- Say, let's outlaw every religion, including islam and see how that goes. Now, just who would the atheist be against??

As an atheist I can say with all honesty that it sure would solve a lot of the worlds problems. Come into the light of intelligent thought and out of the darkness of religious dogma. Make up your own mind about who and what is right or wrong or good or bad, instead of blindly following a Minister or Priest or Imam or Rabbi. Just think of all of the suffering and death that the world would not have had to endure if there never had been religion. - Reply to this comment
- The British will spin the events their way and the Iranians will spin the events their way and in the end the real truth will never exactly be known. The British should never have allowed themselves to be in that situation in the first place, that close to Iran with no real protection and also should not have allowed themselves to be captured without a fight. The Royal Navy boat should have been expecting conflict in the first place especially boarding and searching foreign vessels. I'm happy the Royal Navy sailors are back home and safe. One sailor was heard to say they were on an intelligence gathering mission. There is no intelligence to be gathered in Iraqi waters, they needed to gather that intelligence in Iranian waters, in which case they were probably in Iranian waters spying and Iran was right to capture them! I support the British in any case but if they were spying and got caught then admit it!

- Let's compare the wise and honorable words of President Ahmadinejad, to the craven yammerings of the Bush puppet and others:
%u201CWe shy away from any kind of conflict, any kind of bloodshed,%u201D Ahmadinejad told ABC%u2019s %u201CGood Morning America.%u201D %u201CAs we have said repeatedly, we think that the world problems can be solved through dialogue, through the use of logic and a sense of friendship. There is no need for the use of force.%u201D (Ahmadinejad on Good Morning America)

"Madman Across the Water" and "Rocket Man" are particularly popular there.

Feelfree 1? What are you on drugs? Do you honestly THINK those people were released based on the gentle kindness of that sick tyrant? (oh and before you Bush haters respond, he's a sick tyrant too!) There was some behind the scenes action(s) that took place. Get real!- Reply to this comment
- These sailors were very fortunate.
In the U.S. system they would have been spirited off to a secret prison, where they would endure a lengthy detention and torture regime, never even afforded the opportunity to challenge their detention. A horrific prospect.
Instead, these sailors were detained as a result of their "mistake", then released following a brief investigation, as one would expect.
We owe President Ahmadinejad a debt of gratitude for delivering a lesson in justice and fairness, to the Bush/Blair pirate collective.
It is a shame that we do not have a wise, articulate, or even a legitimate leader running our country. - Reply to this comment

- That was only a small test to see how Brits and US would react. We failed!!! Crawling on our knees and begging forgiveness shows that the "Military Code of Honor" no longer exists. It had all the maturity of a couple of 2 year old children wanting the same toy. Unfortunately I predict a much harder test in the near future.

- Man the USA and Britain let that chickensh-t third rate country absolutely sh-t down their throats. We will pay dearly in the near future.

- "Iran Held Some British Troops In Solitary"
Just 'solitary' and no 'water boarding' Guantanamo style? LOL
This has to be the stupidest charge of a washed up evil empire.
How solitary can one be, even if one was alone for a a mere 13 days? LOL
Such pu-ssies. I would be ashamed to complain about being merely left alone for 13 days.
Did the soldiers in solitary call from their mommies too? LOL - Reply to this comment
- radiob, as to those 58 year olds that acted like 6 year olds we sometimes are a product of our environment and never 'grow' beyond that. Keep working with them, you might get a surprise every once-in-a-while.
