Even for you this is a ridiculous post. When I say thank god I'm an atheist I'm being SARCASTIC! besides being an atheist doesn't mean you're somehow forbidden to say the word god. I don't think Santa Claus exists either, but I still say Merry Christmas (another thing I'm allowed to do, celebrate the pagan secular side of the winter equinox) and give presents. My wife is Jewish, but I'm the one who reminds her to light the Menorah during Hanukkah. You have this twisted idea that being an atheist means I hate all religion or am some kind of devil worshipper. The problem is that you can't conceive of NOT believing in some sort of deity, so you see atheism through that prism and atheism is nothing like what you assume.

Funny how it always seems to work out that way no matter what religion a particular fanatic is a fanatic of, isn't it? No matter the religion there are always followers of it who are certain that they know everything there is to know about their religion and are therefore the perfect people to decide who goes to heaven and who goes to hell (or wherever the souls in that religion go to when they die). For Christians I always refer to it as "The Gospel According To (insert name here). And don't forget, anyone who does believe in their interpretation of their particular religious tome and ONLY their interpretation of that exact book, is going to hell. So if you're christian on the level ricky is that means everyone who doesn't read into the bible, meaning Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindi, atheists, Druids, Wiccans, followers of any of the Native American beliefs and anyone throughout all of the history of mankind who believed any thing else (Greek gods, Odin, etc.), even if they were born before Jesus was and even if they never heard of Jesus in their entire life, are all, without exception, in hell or going to hell. WOW! Such power! Thank God I'm an atheist!

Having no religion in a short lifetime may work for some... but no thanks. My God, IS God and life in the hereafter can only be gained by His intervention using His "Intelligent Design". The real losers are those who actually believe that everything in the universe came about by "accident". If natural selection theories were correct then man would have sprouted wings by now because he wishes it so.

It's important to keep an open mind... My son became Baptist when he was dating the woman he married and I am okay with it. Anyone can be what he/she wants to be...the important thing is to be what you are... genuine. The world is too full of superficial people.

We had a rabbi that came to visit the classroom on friday's, To celebrate Shabbat.
even though it does not start till sundown,he would come and tell Torah stories.
I myself learned a lot,and it was really interesting to learn.

i tell you, i think i may know more about Jewish holidays than my own.
My family get's akick out of it.
My boss is a wonderful Jewish woman,and interesting to learn from.
My class this year is Kindergarten and we do Jewish projects and i bought a book on songs pertaining to Jewish faiths,and this class loves them.

I was born and raised Catholic but belonged to a Jewish Club in college. As soon as everyone puts their predjudices aside we may achieve peace... but not until then.
