British Prime Minister Denies Claim That 15 U.K. Sailors And Marines Were In Iranian Waters
- No I will rephrase that, it is stupid to say that people die because of the media, but the media has much to answer for...distortion and lies does not build trust...

- alphaa10, would I be presuming that you are a Muslim???
and yes I do read articles from the middle east, but once again like the papers of the west, they are biased, thus one can never know what is truth and what is not... the only way I can judge anything is to look at Israel, we are told that they are causing the worlds problems... Now logic tells me that this tiny little nation which is not even as big as Lake Michigan and has only a population of about 9 million of which over one million are Muslim (who dont want to leave), would be stupid enough to want to cause trouble when it is surrounded by a sea of billions of angry muslims... yet the media tells us of how terrible Israel is, but nothing is said about the hundreds of Jews who have been killed by muslim going in and sitting down in preschools, shops, buses etc and blowing themselves up killing hundreds of babies, children and adults...While the media does not tell the truth, and only stirs situations up to sell more papers we will never have a change at peace... this is why I said that it is treason. Men on both sides die because of the lies told by the media... - Reply to this comment

Let's get out of Iraq first. We are still in Baghdad fighting there for 4 years. We could not start any RECONSTRUCTION so far. To say it is easy, to do it is mucho difficult! WWII remanents are still there with same mentality but time has changed. With our being a nuke power, every country is becoming addicted to have it, particularly the oil-producing ones - to safeguard their oil-wells. - Reply to this comment

No excuses and mistakes with Iran will work. Any mistake and misunderstanding could have a deeper impact on oil - like the seizure of 15 British sailors. It looks like the Iranians are ready to deal with any threat since they are done with the UN & IAEA. Cat & Mouse game is over. - Reply to this comment
- alphaa10 by reading only one side of the media, we get a distorted point of view, and no I dont very often read Fox, but I have read many outlets..which I suggest that others do also..thus instead of reading just a left winged media you will also read the right wing, hopefully giving you the ability to be able to make a better assessment of what is really going on, notice I said hopefully, as I feel that most media has proven themselves to be not at all trustworthy.. I and others who I know have experienced the distortions of the media, so much so that I dont know why they bother to interview people as it sure isn't the same story that was told.. In one case after all the questions were asked and replied too, the interviewer turned to the cameras in front of the Principal who had been interviewed and rephrased the questions. Thus when it was edited and came out on the TV, what was a fantastic interview ended up by making this Principal look really bad and it was all totally different to what had been said.. nop, sorry I dont trust journalists, I would rather take the word of the soldiers who have been there...

Now there's a man I would follow into battle. It was said earlier, a little "shock therapy" always does the trick. "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" worked in Japan, and leveling the cities calmed down the Germans. Had it not been for shock therapy, WWII might have continued for several more years will millions of casualties.
Shock therapy will work in the middle east and end their misery, and we can spend billions rebuilding the area's economy and own the oil. LOL - Reply to this comment

Islamic Fundamentalism and the *** Slave Trade in Iran
A measure of Islamic fundamentalists%u2019 success in controlling society is the depth and totality with which they suppress the freedom and rights of women. In Iran for 25 years, the ruling mullahs have enforced humiliating and sadistic rules and punishments on women and girls, enslaving them in a gender apartheid system of segregation, forced veiling, second-class status, lashing, and stoning to death.

- Since the Israelis are currently so weak (their President an accused rapist, and their Prime Minister a defeated, disgraced, and unpopular war criminal), it looks like the Bush League has no option but to manufacture a 'Gulf of Tonkin' style incident, in order to justify their war of aggression against Iran.

- We need to STING the Iranians. Ever since Reagan
capitulated to the Islamic Revolution they have been laughing at us. We need to do what middle eastern muslim experts tell us. We must show strength and be willing to stand toe to toe with them. Supporting the Islamic Revolution as the Republicans have in Afghanisthan and IRAQ is idiotic. Futiure americans will pay with blood for the Republicans greed and self-ritcheous attitude in dealing with OIL ECONOMICS. wE NEED TO STAND UP AGAINST sHEITE tHEOCRACY. - Reply to this comment
- Ignorance, Religious totalitarianism is EVIL. In Iran and in the United States. If I were president I would bomb 20 nuclear targets, 20 government targets and 20 religious targets. Then give them an ultimatum. Let the international community inspect completely your supposed peacefull targets, or suffer another 20-20-20 attack. Then repeat the ultimatum and if no adeguate response, repeat the 20-20-20. But THIS TIME lets no warn them 6 months aherad of time that were comming so that they can hide thier offensive weapons, or move them to other countries or areas as IRAQ did. Clinton may have blown Somalia and been half-hearted in Afghanisthan but his leadership in Bosnia was the best our nation could do, and should be a n example for muslim conflicts in the future.

- No Johnny and Susan Islam is not evil, it governments and industries are mislead so the people cannot grow and develop as the rest of the world. They are rich, and they are poor. They are haves and have nots. They are educated and left, and they have educated and remained in place to abuse their people in many instances, and for those who try and make a advancing community difference, they die, or are in other ways smothered.

The Network
Hassan Butt Tells Bob Simon Killing In The Name Of Islam Is A "Cancer"
British police this week arrested three British Muslims in connection with the 2005 bombings on the London subway system in which 52 people were killed.
The world was shocked when the four suicide bombers blew themselves up that morning, especially when it turned out that they were British citizens. The four had been recruited to what is called the "Network," a web of radical Islamic organizations loosely affiliated to al Qaeda which has turned Britain into the western world%u2019s richest breeding grounds for terrorists. How did this happen?
60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon met someone who knows. And for the first time he spoke about what it was like to be inside that network for ten years. His name is Hassan Butt. He%u2019s only 26 years old, but some of the people he recruited were a lot younger than that.

- caldwellptr saic "What is it about Iran and taking hostages?"
Maybe they want Bush to sell them some arms a la Reagan in 1979-80.
Maybe this time they want spare parts for the F-14s Nixon/Ford gave them in the 70s.
Like Reagan, Bush could be the hero for getting the hostages back. LOL! - Reply to this comment
- Posted earlier, by WilliamWFH at 03:14 PM : Mar 25, 2007 It is to late now, but I would like to know, where were the support craft and aircraft? For example, those Iranian ships did not suddenly appear, and we are in the age of radar. Did we not have time to respond with adequate protective cover for these lightly protected craft before they were overtaken by superior forces?
New thought:
I am curious, did this team see something? Or, did they over look something? The Iranian%u2019s took a big chance for a reason that is unknown to us, and I do not believe it to be political.

- What is it about Iran and taking hostages? I'm sure given the chance Iran would take credit for suicide bombers if it didn't mean taking credit for their culture gone insane.

- Britain, its allies, and the U.N. should give Iran 24 hours to return its sailors.
If they don't return them then Britain, and its allies, should sink all the military vessels that belong to Iran.
Then proceed from there.
Don't put more troops in harms way. Use missiles and other options available to them.
Seems like the U.N. and most of its members are only capable of talk, and very little action.
And Iran is aware of this. - Reply to this comment
- Is Islam Evil?
Given the recent worldwide attacks by Islamic terrorists, why isn't the question "Is Islam evil?" With few exceptions (Turkey, for example), Islamic countries are fascist, autocratic or theocratic, where women are subjugated and minorities persecuted. Islamic countries are rife with poverty and have been for centuries. Polls show that in many Islamic countries a majority of Muslims lionize the man responsible for the atrocities of September 11th and the terrorist gangs who routinely slaughter civilians in Israeli buses and restaurants. In Arab schools and on Arab television, children are taught the glory of becoming suicide bombers. Almost everywhere that Islam borders other cultures, there is violence.
The idea, then, that Islam is evil has far more plausibility than the idea that United States is evil. But merely, raising the question, "Is Islam evil?" provokes an instant, inevitable outcry: "Bigot!" "Racist!" "Zionist!" Indeed, the attempt to suppress debate on this question is so intense that few people in the mainstream will ask it.
